3 Jcsc events War Birds & Auto Show at the Front Range Airport - July JCSC Driving Event The Jaguar Club of Southern Colorado July driving event destination will be the rescheduled Front Range War Birds & Auto Show at the Front Range Airport on July 22, Admission to the show is $20 per car ($10 per car for military personnel) There will be two drive departure scenarios for this event. The first departure will be for anyone wanting to park and display their Jaguar along with the Rocky Mountain Jaguar Club members on the tarmac during the show. If you are interested in this scenario, you will need to meet Jack Humphrey at the CDOT Monument Park and Ride parking lot located in the northeast corner off I-25 at exit 161 in Monument CO at 5:30 A.M. on July 22. This group will then drive to the meeting location to join the RMJC members that are displaying Jaguars at the show. If you decide to participate in this drive, please RSVP to Jack JackdHumphrey@outlook.com no later than July 20th. If you have any questions or need more details, please contact Jack. The second drive will be for anyone that just wants to attend the show and view the airplanes and cars. This group will meet at Kneaders restaurant, Bass Pro Dr. off of North Gate Road & I-25 in north Colorado Springs, at 7:30 A.M. for breakfast prior to departing that location by 8:30 A.M. for the show. If you decide to participate in this drive please RSVP to Aaron AceEnt@comcast.net no later than July 20th. For additional information, contact Aaron. If you want to display your car in the show but plan to skip the meeting with the Rocky Mountain Jaguar Club prior to entering Front Range Airport, you will need to register to display your car in the show. 4 Jcsc events OCCC&CC Show Upcoming JCSC Events A new event for the JCSC will be the Old Colorado City Customs & Classics Car Show on Sunday, August 20, The show runs from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. and is a multi marque event and is hosted by Rocky Mountain Mustangers, Southern Colorado Mopars, SOCO Chevelle & El Camino Club and the Jaguar Club of Southern Colorado. Details will be available shortly. We are seeking volunteers to assist in conducting this show. If you are interested, contact Aaron at Events@JagClub.org. British Motoring Conclave The JCSC will hold a drive to the British Motoring Conclave in 2017 in September. We will provide additional information as soon as we receive firm dates for this event Pikes Peak Concours d Elegance and British Motoring Festival The 2017 Pikes Peak Concours d Elegance and British Motoring Festival will be held on Sunday, October 1, Details will be ed to JCSC members and posters will be displayed in many Colorado Springs businesses JCSC Board of Directors Meeting The next Jaguar Club of Southern Colorado Board of Directors meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 5, Pikes Peak Concours d Elegance and British Motoring Festival planning will be the primary agenda item at this meeting. 4

5 ACC exotic car show ACCO Exotic Car Show The 34 th Annual ACC Concours was held Sunday, June 11 th, 2017 on the Arapahoe Community College grounds. Everyone began arriving early Sunday morning. It is always hard to get up early on a Sunday, especially for a car show, but once everyone began arriving, it was well worth it. Steve and Deanie arrived with the club trailer and tents. They don t even have to ask for help any more, everyone knows their job in setting up the tents and just pitch right in. Lots of members brought great food for lunch. Jack Humphrey and LaRon and Aaron Cosley came up from the Springs. We had a good turnout from our Jaguar dealers as well, Tim and Pete, from Red Nolan, some of the guys from Sill Ter-Har and Stevinson were also there. All in all we had 43 Jaguars on the field. There were two classifications of judging, Concours Class, which meant that the Porsche and other Judges would judge those cars. The other classification was Club Class and we had eight RMJC Club Jaguars to be judged. In seven classes, RMJC winners were: 1969 Series 2 E-Type: Mike and Deb Ramirez, 1 st Place, 1986 Series 3 XJ Sedan: Jack Humphrey, 1 st Place, 1996 V12 Saloon: Jon Strader, 1 st Place, XK8 Class: Brent McGibbon with 1 st Place, Tom Estes and Brian Simard tied for 2 nd Place; XK (2007) Class: Lonnie Glessner, 1 st Place; 2007 XKR: 2009 XF Saloon: LaRon and Aaron Cosley (from the Springs club), 1 st Place, 2017 F-Pace: Frank and Jean Oakley, 1 st Place, President s Choice went to Jeff Schroder for his D-Type, and really his C-Type too, but we only had one ribbon. There were around 500 fantastic cars of all makes and models on the field, and out of all those wonderful cars, People s Choice went to David Massy for his beautiful Cotswold Blue 1958 XK 150 OTS. Last year s attendance was 14,000 and we will wait to hear what the final total will be for 2017, but everyone said it was more crowded this year. Thanks to Vince Lane for his year-long service to the club by representing us on the ACCO planning committee for this event. It came off without a hitch, even though the field was smaller than last year due to temporary modular classrooms the college put up which necessitated staging adjustments for many cars, including the Jaguar corral. And thanks, too, to Vince and Deanie for bringing decorated cakes to help celebrate Gary and Judy George s 55 th wedding anniversary which was the day before the Concours, and Frank Oakley s 70 th birthday which was on June 15. The cake for the Georges even had a Leaper on it! thanks to Steve Kennedy 5

15 JCNA North First Saturdays American Standings Car Show The First Saturdays Car Show is in the style of a Cars n Coffee event where fellow car lovers gather to see cars, trucks and motorcycles from all makes, models and ages, in addition to all the local automotive beauties we will also feature a host club each month. From Fords to Jaguars to Porsche to Chevrolet, we welcome everyone. The Jaguar Club of Southern Colorado will be participating in each of the First Saturday s Car Shows from May thru October, 2017 and will host the August event. These are fun events and only require you to show up and display your car. We usually plan a breakfast or lunch following each show. The car show is the first Saturday of each month, May through October. Staging is from 7 to 8 a.m. and the show runs from 8 to 10 a.m. The location is in the west Dick s Sporting Goods parking lot north east of South Carefree and Powers Blvd. 15
