2 **** PUBLIC NOTICE **** BOROUGH OF HADDON HEIGHTS NOTICE TO BIDDERS Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Borough Clerk for Governing Body of the Borough of Haddon Heights, a municipal corporation in the County of Camden and State of New Jersey, on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time, at the Borough of Haddon Heights, 625 Station Avenue in the Borough Clerk s office at which time and place bids will be opened and read in public for a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe 4WD-9C1. The Bid package for this vehicle is available online at and in the Borough Clerk s Office in the Municipal Building, Borough of Haddon Heights, 625 Station Avenue, Haddon Heights, NJ during regular business hours, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bids must be submitted on standard form, available with the specifications. Bids must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and shall be marked on the outside as 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe 4WD-9C1. Bidders are required to comply with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. By order of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Haddon Heights. 3 BOROUGH OF HADDON HEIGHTS Supply and Delivery of Public Safety Equipment General Information The Borough of Haddon Heights provides these specifications for the supply and delivery of one (1) 2015 or newer four (4) door, marked 4-Wheel Drive Pursuit Rated Police Vehicle with all attached additional equipment installed. The vehicle shall be a Chevrolet Tahoe 4WD 9C1 with the below listed factory options, upfitted additional equipment, paint scheme, and decal specifications. The vehicle must be guaranteed to be free of any defects in workmanship and material for a period of three (3) years from date of delivery; and the manufacturer shall agree to replace any defective part, within said three (3) years. The Vendor shall agree to pick-up and return the vehicle for any warranty work to / from a dealership in New Jersey for the duration of the factory warranty on the vehicle. In strict accordance with the specifications, the successful bidder shall deliver the vehicle purchased in complete working order. Each bidder must also submit illustrations and a complete description of the vehicle they are proposing to furnish. A service manual must also be included upon delivery and payment for vehicle may be delayed until item is furnished. Each bidder must also indicate any deviation in the specifications in the proposed vehicle from the specifications as furnished by the Borough of Haddon Heights, in writing. The prices furnished on the Bid Proposal Form are to include any and all delivery/destination charges. The vehicle is to be delivered with all options and accessories to: Borough of Haddon Heights Police Department 625 Station Ave. Haddon Heights, NJ The successful bidder must notify the Chief of Police or his designee at (856) , twenty-four (24) hours prior to the delivery of the equipment. 2

4 The bidder shall submit said bid pursuant to the attached specifications, which you will agree that it shall be a part of the contract to be executed by the Borough of Haddon Heights and the accepted bidder. The bidder agrees that any bid not made in strict accordance with the specifications may at the option of the governing body, be rejected. Bids must be made on proposal forms furnished by the Borough. They shall be submitted in sealed envelopes properly identified as SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF PUBLIC SAFETY EQUIPMENT FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT USE. The person, partnership or corporation shall sign the bids to be bound by the contract. The addresses, and, if a partnership or corporation, shall be signed by an officer of said corporation, the names of the parties shall be listed, except by and with the consent of the governing body. No bids shall be withdrawn except by the permission of the Borough of Haddon Heights. Bids must be presented by the bidder or an authorized representative at the stated time and location. Bids sent by mail will not be accepted. Each bidder shall present with his/her bid a Bid Bond, a Certified Check or a Cashier s Check in the amount of ten (10) percent of the bid payable to the Borough of Haddon Heights, New Jersey. The bond or check of the successful bidder shall be forfeited if said bidder fails, within five (5) days from the date of the submission of the contract to him/her, to execute the contract and deliver the bond as hereinbefore provided. All bid bonds must be typewritten, handwritten bid bonds are not acceptable. A 100% performance bond is required of this bid. During the performance of this contract, the Contractor agrees to obey all terms and conditions of P.L. 1975, Chapter 127 and P.L. 1977, Chapter 33. Borough of Haddon Heights, reserves the right to award said bid to the most responsive bidder. Vehicle must have a New Jersey New Car Inspection sticker affixed to windshield from a valid New Jersey dealership authorized to prepare said vehicle for delivery. A letter must accompany this bid from said dealer stating that they will supply the sticker and provide warranty repairs as well as free pick-up and return of the vehicle due to warranty or other defects. 3
