2 BLACK CREEK M&S FACILITY CONNECTION EVALUATION OVERALL OBJECTIVES OF STUDY AREA To develop and assess concept alternatives for the LRT connection to the proposed M&S Facility and to recoend a preferred alignent alternative for the intersection of Eglinton Avenue at Black Creek Drive that can: Provide high quality connection to proposed M&S Facility (loading/unloading capacity); Provide high quality transit service (speed, reliability and interodal connectivity); Miniize ipacts (traffic operations, property, environent and construction ipacts); and Miniize costs. Six conceptual LRT interface alternatives were developed: Interface Alternative Alignent Connection to Proposed M&S Facility Alternative At-grade alignent Three at-grade tracks with one secondary (eergency) at-grade track on Photography Drive Alternative 2 Elevated north side alignent Three elevated tracks and one below-grade track Alternative Elevated south side alignent One elevated track and one below-grade track Alternative Below-grade alignent Two below-grade tracks Alternative 5 Elevated north side alternate alignent Two elevated tracks and two below-grade tracks Alternative Hybrid alignent Three at-grade tracks with one secondary (eergency) elevated track For each alternative, a score between to is given for each criteria where is least preferred, and is ost preferred. The score is not a rank, i.e. ore than one alternative ay be given the sae score under the sae criteria. The exception to this is the scoring for Capital Cost, where alternatives are scored on a scale of to 2 where: <$7M 2; $7M-$85M ; $85M-$M ; $M - $5M 9; $5M $M 8; $M-$5M 7; $5M-$M ; $M-$75M 5; $75M-$9M ; $9-$25 ; $25-$22 2; >$22M. At the conclusion of the evaluation process, the alternative with the highest total score is the ost preferred.
