5 Earth leakage protection and self-reclosing RCCB with Self-reclosing system REC2 Self-reclosing earth leakage relay Description REC2 is a 2 or 4-pole earth leakage switch associated to a compact motor and control set that enables the automatic and safe reclosure of the installation, provided that the leakage is not permanent. Output contact available in REC2C model Protection Class Measurement Sensitivity I Dn Delay Test Electromechanical, Class A Instantaneous value 30 ma or 300 ma (depending on the type) Fixed at 20 ms With built-in button The earth leakage switch is reclosed automatically, in accordance with the work mode selected (switch on the front): Time sequence mode: after a switch trip, REC2 will make 6 reclosing attempts, with a timer set at 10, 20, 30, 60, 120 and 600 s. If the set can not be reclosed, it will be blocked in a trip status until it is reset manually. Insulation monitoring mode: after the switch trip, REC2 repeats the previous sequence, but it measures the presence of leakage current in the installation before carrying out the reset. REC2 will only reclose when the insulation measurements are correct. 19 Overcurrent and earth leakage protection and self-reclosing MCB MCB Series Circuit-Breaker Description MCB-P or MCB-T are circuit-breakers that combine the functions of a circuit breaker (overload and short-circuit protection) and those of a contactor on the same element. There are two options with MCB: Closed circuit-breaker: Allows remote control functions (contactor function). It can be disconnected and reconnected electrically with the adequate signal. Circuit-breaker opened by an overload or short-circuit trip or by manual disconnection: remote control reset is not allowed, only manually. The remote control function works on the same contacts as those of the circuit breaker, guaranteeing the disconnection in each case. The MCB-T type includes a remote control module with two auxiliary, potential free (three-wire) contacts that indicate the status of the MCB at the input of the remote control (contactor function) and/or the circuit breaker. 37 Overcurrent and earth leakage protection and self-reclosing WRGMT Complete overload and earth leakage protection and reclosure equipment Description The WRGMT group acts as an overload (overload + short-circuit) and earth leakage protection system with earth leakage and overload reclosure. WRGMT, 2 poles WRGMT, 4 poles The nominal current of the overload protection is determined by the type of MT (up to 63 A) or MT-FDE used. The group is composed of the following elements: RGMT relay (earth leakage protection) Motorized automatic switch of the MT- FDE Series or motorized circuit breaker of the MT Series, with overload protection and circuit breaker functions Earth leakage transformer, WG Application The WRGMT groups can be used to make safety compatible with the continuity of the service in remote installations or installations that do not have the usual maintenance staff. They guarantee the overload and earth leakage protection with a self-reclosing system after a trigger, both in the case of an earth leakage and overload trip. 38 Overcurrent self-reclosing RECmax P Self-reclosing motorized circuit breaker (up to 63 A) Description The RECmax P series are 2- and 4-pole circuit breakers connected to a compact motor and internal control unit that enables automatic reclosing system. After triggering, the switch reconnects following a sequence of 3 reconnections, with 3 minutes between resets. If the unit is not able to reconnect after 3 attempts, it remains triggered until a manual or remote reset is made. They can also be connected remotely to an external control. It has two inputs that through voltage-free external signals, order the opening (input O) and subsequent closing (reclosing system) of the automatic switch (input I). They function as protection against shortcircuit and overload, and can also be used as a remote circuit breaker. The switch status is indicated by LED signals on the device s front panel. An green ON LED indicates that the device is in service; a red OFF LED indicates that the device is triggered. A TEST/RESET of the device can be performed by pressing a button to check the triggering and then reset the device. It also has two single-contact outputs for signalling the status and the cause of the opening and closing of the automatic switch (trigger, manual/test).
