4 HISTORY SUMMARY TORNILLERIA PLACENCIA was founded in 1957 by a familiar shareholders as a public limited company (PLC), with a clear philosophy in order to become a reference point in quality and product range. The activity was screws un general manufacturing, rivets, washer, bolts... In 1991, 80% of shares were acquired by an industrial automotiv group. At the end of 1993 of 1993 the company becomes in the present TORNIPLASA S.A.L, consisting of 36 workers share holders. TORNIPLASA S.A.L is located in Vitoria (Alava province capital), and have m2 and m2 of them are built.

9 TECNOLOGIC DEVELOPMENT At the beginning the manufacturing process was mechanizing. In the 70 s 80 s, the company decides to change the manufacturing means to cold stamping. In this way was the oring of cold forming. In 1992 begun a new manufacturing line for automotiv industrie, and an informatic S.P.C system was introduced in prduction. One year later we got the Certificate in quality aptitude supplier (EAQF) awarded by cars manufacturers.

10 TECNOLOGIC DEVELOPMENT In 1996 was built a new stripping phosphatisation facility for wire coil automatized, with direct heating, what was an innovative and high efficiency plant, with important improvements in gas and waste management.

11 TECNOLOGIC DEVELOPMENT In year 2000 was adquired the first SIX STATIONS special parts stamping machine. Before in 1994 were changed the nut MS stamping machines, to transfer five stations stamping machines and that was the beginning of thirth fase in product evolution and cap. 12 TECNOLOGIC DEVELOPMENT A new steel wire rod cold drawn plant, with the latest technology, was built in year 2001.

13 TECNOLOGIC DEVELOPMENT As a new step in technologic improvement, in year 2003 a second new SIX STATIONS machine for special parts was acquired, suitable until 26 mm. cutting wire diameter. In short, high tecnology and quality, make possible Torniplasa a Production optimizing, and make the company a competitive and reliable supplier. SIX STATIONS STAMPING MACHINE

14 TECNOLOGIC DEVELOPMENT With software computer assistance, we optimize our cold stamping manufacturing process, and we reach technologic ability to design complex parts.

16 OUR CUSTOMERS In principle, our customers were industrial providers and hardware stores. In the nineties, we focused on automotive component industry, and Merecedes Benz, in its plant located in Vitoria became our main customer. We also manufacture parts according Seat-Volskwagen, Citroën, Peugeot and many other steel plate, car doors, bornets, autobodyworks, pedal and seats component manufacturers.

17 OUR CUSTOMERS Also our efforts focused on exporting in Europe and currently our products are 35% sold abroad, main by in France. The resting exporting market distributes in several countries as Portugal and Belgium. These customers high demanding in quality costs, added value, and service have helped us in our pathtowards Excellence.
