45 What is the client s behaviour facing dynamic tariffs and curtailment? Review Winter Figures Load curve 65households 2kWh/household/day of curtailment on heating Behaviour opeople eager to start in order to diminish their bills and control their consumption oinformation is essential, however automation brings a higher level of flexibility otariffication incentive and its information involved the client (Some clients that receive the tariffication information but not the automated signal, did it manually) o Revenue is an important variable in the attitude of the clients towards curtailment 10

64 EnR-Pool Project Objectives Objective : assess how industrial consumers can participate actively to the integration of renewable energies (RES) into the electric grid by adapting their electricity consumption : - Define a portfolio of wind & solar renewable energy generation assets and of industrial flexible capacities for electricity consumption reduction & stimulation, - Perform Demand Response operations to participate to the grid balancing in real time while taking into account renewable energies generation variations, - Propose DR programs and relevant business model to Energy French authorities. Adjustment of industrial flexible capacities to reduce or stimulate electricity consumption based on a RES signal Real time assessment of consumption/generation balancing, aggregation and activation of DR capacities Real time assessment of RES capacities and prediction of RES generation based on accurate weather forecast Energy Pool Développement SAS 9

70 Conclusion Recommendations The electric system would take great benefits if industrial consumers knew better how to use their flexibilities to address RES production issues. Aggregation enhances electric system performance and cost-effectiveness by coupling industrial flexibilities and RES production. Aggregation entities should be geo-located as RES production is decentralized. Industrial Flexibilities RES production Energy Pool Développement SAS 15
