5 ULC-V in PREDIT The Ultra Low Carbon Vehicle (ULC-V) is a Key Traget inside Predit Predit = French National Framework Programme for coordinating research and innovation policy in the area of land transportation Reminder PREDIT 3 : 145 M (total 360) 165 research projects financed (stratégie «briques technologiques»; stockage de l énergie, gestion énergie / chaîne traction, électronique de puissance, devlpt. nouveaux véhicules, socio-éco. de l innovation) : PREDIT 4 ( ), renforcement, larger definition of ULC-V scope: all terrestral vehicles road transport (électrique, hybride, internal combustion); heavy- and light duty vehicles; rail vehicles; Reduction of nergie cosumption, atmospheric exhaust and noise; PREDIT 4 = 50% of the attributed credits 5

Important contribution to Stop Climate Change Responsability of the Nations / Member States is clearly engaged French experiences on «up and downs» regarding the promotion of clean vehicles Necessity for a strong contribution to create the conditions for a sustainable developpement of clean mobility 8

9 Why an Eranet + on «Electromobility»? High value for ERANET transport active role for the Memberstates inside the GCI frame Reinforce the dimension of joint programming in the framework of Eranet Transport (FP7) in the perspective of the preparation of FP8 Eranet is the appropriate frame to adress public policies and to overcome boundaries 9
