4 1. BATTERY REMOVAL WHEN INVERTING THE GOCYCLE, DO SO ON A SOFT, NON-MARKING SURFACE, E.G. CARPET, TO AVOID DAMAGE TO THE GOCYCLE DASHBOARD DISPLAY 1.1. For ease, invert the Gocycle so that it rests on its handlebars and saddle. Remove the PitstopWheels Ensure that the battery pack is in sleep mode. (See Owner s Manual for more information) Use a 3mm Allen key to undo the battery securing screw, as shown Remove the screw and battery splash cap. Karbon Kinetics Limited. All Rights Reserved. 2

5 1.4. Remove both the black and red Anderson connectors from within the frame and unplug one at a time, as shown Locate the other Anderson connectors and unplug Ensure all cables are unplugged and none are trapped before continuing Carefully pull the battery out of the frame ensuring the cables do not get trapped. 7 2. KICKSTAND PREPARATION 2.1. Inspect the stud location hole for any overspray of paint. If the hole is clear and free from paint, continue to step Affix tape to an 8mm drill bit positioned no more than 10mm from the tip Carefully drill the stud locating hole to 8mm. Insert the drill no more than 10mm into the frame. Karbon Kinetics Limited. All Rights Reserved. 5

8 3. KICKSTAND INSTALLATION 3.1. Use the supplied stud installation wire and insert it through the stud locating hole. Leave a short length of wire protruding from the stud locating hole and a long length protruding from the rear of the frame, as shown Thread the Kickstand Stud (B) onto the end of the stud installation wire and tie a knot as demonstrated. Tie the knot close to the entrance of the battery hole as shown Pull the top end of the stud installation wire and pull the stud through the locating hole. Leave a short tail of wire protruding out the rear of the frame, as shown. Karbon Kinetics Limited. All Rights Reserved. 6

9 3.4. Thread the stud installation wire through the Stand Rubber (A) and install over the stud as shown Open the legs of the G2 Kickstand (E), as shown. Thread the installation wire through the Kickstand body and install over the Kickstand Stud. Keep tension on the wire to ensure the stud remains protruding from the frame. Karbon Kinetics Limited. 10 3.6. Now install the M8 SS Wave Spring (C) over the stud as shown Install the M8 Thin Nut SS (D) over the stud as shown Finger-tighten the installed M8 nut onto the Kickstand stud. Remove the stud installation wire as shown. Karbon Kinetics Limited. All Rights Reserved. 8

11 3.9. Insert the 3mm Allen key into the Kickstand Stud as shown. Use a 13mm spanner to tighten the nut. DO NOT TURN THE ALLEN KEY. Note: Tighten the nut until the wave spring is flat and the Kickstand does not rotate side to side. Kickstand assembly complete. Karbon Kinetics Limited. All Rights Reserved. 9

12 4. KICKSTAND ADJUSTMENT You can adjust the speed at which the Kickstand closes if required Locate the bolts on the Kickstand main body Each bolt on each leg of the Kickstand must be adjusted independently using a 6mm Allen key To slow the closing of the Kickstand legs, tighten each bolt independently To increase the speed of closure, undo the bolts on each leg. Note: When adjusting the action of the Kickstand make incremental changes and test regularly to prevent damage to the Gocycle. Karbon Kinetics Limited. All Rights Reserved. 10

13 5. BATTERY REPLACEMENT 5.1. Carefully insert the G2 battery into the frame. Ensure not to trap the two main power cables Before re-plugging the connectors ensure the battery pack is in SLEEP mode. See the Owner s Manual for more information. Connect the two RED Anderson connectors Ensure the connectors are fully closed as shown Now connect the two BLACK Anderson connectors. 14 5.5. Ensure the connectors are fully closed as shown Carefully and neatly push the two Anderson connectors back into the Gocycle frame Re-attach the Battery Splash Cover and insert the battery securing screw. Karbon Kinetics Limited. All Rights Reserved. 12

15 5.8. Use the 3mm Allen key to tighten the securing screw. IMPORTANT NOTE: THE ASSEMBLY STEPS MUST BE CARRIED OUT IN ORDER. FAILING TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE GOCYCLE.
