11 Emergency sealant jection system Injection For ch and larger NEWAY Trunnion mounted ball valves will be Top flange stalled with a sealant jection fittgs on both stem and seats. When the sealg materials (seat sealg or stem o-rg) are Closure damaged or decomposed by fire or other accidental causes, leakage from the seat and stem can be prevented by jection of sealant to these fittgs. When cavity pressure is higher than seat sprg and le pressure, i.e. P*D1>Fs, the self relievg action allows that valve seat will move slightly away from the ball surface, therefore any over pressure actg the body cavity is discharged to the le to restore the balance between the body cavity and le (either upstream or downstream). 12 Series GT Through Conduit Gate Valve Design Feature Introduction Through conduit valves are widely used for oil and gas pipele service. This type of valve has such function that, when fully opened, media passage capability superior to valves use for general secondary process le, it can also be capable for pig ball Cleang service. Neway through conduit gate valves are available Slab Gate and Expandg Gate design and both are fully comply with API D standard. Slab Gate Valve Slab gate valve is simple design but efficient performance. This design utilizes two sprg loaded floatg seats which are pressure energized, movg the upstream seat contact with the gate that brgs about a tight and complete seal with both the upstream and downstream. Seat sealg The seat rgs are designed with sprg loaded floatg type and double O-rgs, that can matas a perfect sealg with slab gate both high or low differential pressure. PTFE sert are utilized to assure the primary sealg and when PTFE seats were destroyed, the metal to metal contact between slab and seats can be function as secondary sealg. 13 Self cavity relief Sce slab gate design is double block valve, so when valve is closed position valve cavity pressure may crease due to thermal expansion. If cavity pressure exceeds le pressure, the up-steam seat is forced slightly away from the gate surface and the excess pressure the body is discharged to the le to restore the pressure balance between the body cavity and the le. The expandg gate valve does not rely on le pressure to seal and is recoended for applications when a tight mechanical seal is required. Emergency Sealant Injection System For and larger valve will be stalled with a sealant jection fittg on both stem and seats (for expendg gate valve only on stem). So when sealg materials (PTFE seat sert or stem o- rg) are damaged or decomposed by fire or other accidental causes, leakage from the seat and stem can be prevented by jection of sealant to these fittgs. 15 NEWAY series BS ball valves are trunnion mounted supported and available size to, ANSI class 0 ratg 150 to 1500 and temperature ratgs of - C to 0 00 C. All meets the fire safe requirement of BS 755 and API FA. Fully forged steel body and closure elimates the evitable defects of castg and assures the tough structure of the valve at full rated workg pressure. It also has advantage of quick delivery time, thus more popular modern oil and gas dustry. All BS series ball valves are featured with trunnion mounted ball and dependent floatg sprg loaded seats which provides bubble-tight shut off and low operatg torques even at low different pressure. 21 Neway series BW ball valves are a fully welded body and trunnion mounted ball valve, available from size to 0 ANSI class from 150 to 500, temperature range from - to 00. Fire safe conformg to BS 755 and API Fa. Compared to flanged split body trunnion mounted ball valves, fully welded body valves elimate the possibility of leakage through the body connection. The fully welded body design is compact, cost-efficient and provides maximum strength and maximum resistance to pipele pressures and stresses. In order to avoid ternal damage caused by heat transfer durg stallation/weldg, the valves are designed with extended weld ends. The fully welded body ball valve is preferred applications such as long-distance transport pipeles and under-ground services.
