3 National Corvette Restorers Society New Mexico Chapter Minutes of Proceedings Meeting July 8, 2012 Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 12:14 PM by Chapter President Billie Pyzel. The meeting was at the Hyde Park Picnic area, North of Santa Fe. Visitors and Guests: Many Corvette folks from all over were there to attend the "Summer in Hyde Park" event There were about fourteen New Mexico Chapter members attending the meeting. Minutes: June minutes as published in the newsletter were unanimously approved on a motion and second by Jim George and Bruce Masson. Treasurers' Report: Eli Maestas, our Treasurer, was not there, but it was assumed that the Chapter checking balance is still about $4, and the buck in a box drawing was not held. Judging Report: There will be a judging school after the August meeting. Membership Report: Members were reminded to be sure that their current addresses, phone numbers and addresses are forwarded to Dan Pyzel or Rick Jones. Old Business: Under Old Business those with July birthdays were congratulated. Billie reminded everyone of the Lone Star Regional at Frisco, Texas October Further items discussed included a rodeo night at the fair, the Red River Weekend, and the location of the Chapter Christmas Party at Curt Richter's office. The August events, the meeting, the judging school, and the Anniversary Party were discussed, and are still on hold pending date and location decisions. The Chapter banner has been completed and delivered, arid was displayed for the first time at the picnic. There being no further Old Business, we moved on to New Business. New Business: New Business began with a discussion about Eli Maestas' suggestion that we give this year's donation to a Prostate Cancer support group that he is familiar with. A motion and second were made by Michael Johnson and Jim George, and those present all agreed that this be done. A discussion was held and a concensus reached that we will continue searching for suitable locations for our various events. There being no further New Business, we moved on to the next item. Tip Session: Dan Pyzel noted that a possible source for non-ethanol fuel is rumored at G & *Tj* Automotive on North Fourth Street. He will follow up on this. The vote to adjourn the meeting was passed after a motion and second by Jim George and Bruce Masson. We went on to enjoy the Summer in Hyde Park. Respectfully Submitted, Dan, for Jack

4 HAPPY HOUR A Happy Hour is planned to honor the New Mexico Chapter's nineteenth anniversary and various other things. This will be on Friday, August 17 th at Fritz and Cathy Allen's home in Corrales, and will begin at 6:00 PM. From Corrales Road, turn West at the South side of the old Casa Vieja location, go past the parking lot and continue on the dirt road to the Aliens' home. See you there!! AUGUST MEETING The August meeting of the New Mexico Chapter, NCRS will be held Saturday, August 18 th at the Corrales Bistro, just South of the Corrales Fire House. We will meet at 8:30 AM, have breakfast burritos. and after the meeting we will caravan to Fritz's house, where there will be a judging school on Chassis judging. Please note: this is the third Saturday. See above. JUDGING SCHOOL ALSO IN AUGUST Don't forget Corvettes at Carlisle. Awesome! Huge! August The Rio Grande Corvette Club is holding the 20 th Annual Make a Wish Car Show at Casa Chevrolet on Sunday the 26 th. Always entertaining. SEPTEMBER For those who wish to have their car judged, here's your opportunity. Also a good chance to find the last few corrections to make before the Lone Star Regional in Frisco, Texas. On Saturday, the 15 th. If you wish your car to be judged, PLEASE phone Bill Baker so he can get the necessary paperwork on hand. We'll let you know where the event will be. Also, if we can hold out, our beloved Red River Weekend will be coming along on Friday, Saturday and Sunday the 28 th, 29 th and 30 th. A scenic drive through beautiful Northern New Mexico, the progressive dinner, Jack's patented run for the raspberries, the Angel Fire barbeque place, and all the fun with our pals. Wow, we can't wait! Call the Edelweiss at (800) OCTOBER Our Chapter meeting will be on the 6 th, the first Saturday, because of the NCRS Lone Star Regional in Frisco, which is the 11 th through the 13 th. DUES Betcha thought we'd forget, din' ya!! Well, here it is again. More fun than you can have with your pants on, and only twenty American dollars for a whole 'nuther year of it. 5 CHARITY DONATION At Eli Maestas' suggestion, the chapter has donated $300 to the Prostate Cancer Support Association of New Mexico. Hopefully the National NCRS will match this donation. SOFTWARE UPGRADE Rick Jones is in the process of obtaining a software package which will do a much better job of keeping track of our chapter's membership information. This will make it even more important for us to have each member's most current information. Names, addresses, ALL phone numbers, E mail addresses, birthdays, and of course your NCRS membership number. Please see to it that we have all of this. Thanks.
