2 NATIONAL CORVETTE RESTORERS SOCIETY New Mexico Chapter Minutes of Proceedim August 18, The meeting was called to order by the President, Billie Pyzel, at 8:40 A.M. A motion was made to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as written, the motion was seconded and approved. The buck- in -the- box was won by Pete Lindahl and donated to the chapter. There will be a Chapter judging meet on the 15 th of tember. Treasurers Report: Eli Maestas reported that we have $4, Our yearly charity donation of $ was made. Everyone was reminded to made reservations at the Edelweiss for the Red River event on tember The Christmas party will be held at Kurt Richter's Galleria. A motion was made by Bill and seconded by Jim George to keep the same officers for the upcoming year. The motion passed. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 9:40 A.M. the motion was seconded and passed. Following the meeting there was a Judging School at the home of Fritz Allen. 3 SEPTEMBER MEETING The tember Meeting of the New Mexico Chapter, NCRS will be on Saturday tember 22 nd. We will meet at 8:30 AM, and the meeting will be followed by our Fall Chapter Judging Meet. The present plan is to meet at Rick Jones' shop, which is on the corner of Third Street NW and Constitution. There will be a short business meeting and the judging will commence immediately after the meeting. Anyone wishing to have their car judged MUST call Bill Baker at ASAP, so he can have the necessary paperwork on hand. RED RIVER WEEKEND O Joy!!! Red River is almost upon us! We will gather Friday morning the 28 th on side of 1-25 at the exit for the Sandia Casino. Be there no later than 9:30. We will do the usual scenic drive and plan to arrive at Red River mid- to late afternoon, with a lunch stop along the way. Please remember that there will be a progressive dinner at the condo on Friday night. There will be four stops, so each couple or single is asked to bring at least one of the following: appetizer, salad, side dish for the main course or dessert. The Chapter will provide the meat, soft drinks, plates cups and utensils. Whatever adult beverage you prefer, please bring it. Saturday we will leave early for Jack's patented run for the raspberries. After that and lunch in Angel Fire, the afternoon is at your leisure. Dinner is on your own, and the return is whenever you wish. Call the Edelweiss at (800) for reservations and remember each unit will accommodate two couples. As always, it'll be a fun time. OCTOBER The primo event in ober is the Lone Star Regional in Frisco, just North of Dallas. The Texas Chapter always puts on a great show, and for those who went last year, you know it was terrific. ober 11 th through 13 th is when and it's a good opportunity for judging points or having your car judged. There will also be a swap meet. NOVEMBER In ember we will do our annual fall cleanup session on old Route 66 in Tijeras Canyon. Details will follow. DECEMBER Our December meeting and Christmas party will be on Saturday, December 8 th. Curt Richter has volunteered his office showroom for the event. Once again, details will follow. ELECTIONS At the August meeting, nominations were opened for Chapter officers for The existing slate of officers was nominated to continue. Nominations will continue, and the final vote or affirmation will be at the December meeting.
