I must admit, I had some misgivings with respect to the viability of the decision to go ahead with the Hellcat line, but what I heard at the Nationals has begun to provide a strong sense of

1 EDUARD SEPTEMBER 2007 RELEASES September 3rd,2007 We are back from the California Nats to open the new Eduard season. The Eduard 2007/2008 season starts with the Bf 110E for September, and we plan to continue on with the now familiar grand style. As well, the new Fw 190A-8/R2 is expected for October, the Bf 110C by November, and the brand new F6F-3 Hellcat in the first quarter of We introduced the Hellcat mock-up during the Nats with great feedback, and I was surprised at how well the concept was greeted. I must admit, I had some misgivings with respect to the viability of the decision to go ahead with the Hellcat line, but what I heard at the Nationals has begun to provide a strong sense of validation. There will be more Hellcat versions released next year, but the first one will be the F6F-3, followed by the British Mk.I/k.II in a Dual Combo pack in the second quarter. We also had the Fokker Dr.I (1/48th scale) mock-up in Anaheim, which was also well taken. The Dr.I is also expected in the second quarter of 2008, together with two other WW I kits in the same scale, the SPAD XIII and the Fokker E.III. There are two versions for the Dr.I, actually the Dr.I and F.I, two versions for the SPAD, early and late, and three for the Fokker E.III E.I, E.II and E.III. We will finish this season with the Bf 109E in 1/32nd scale, which should see its premiere at Virginia Beach in early August, KITS IN SEPTEMBER There is nothing more really, that needs to be said about the Bf 110E, which is our headliner for September. By now, those even remotely interested in the subject will have heard or read all of the discussions, including those concerning the supposedly wrong wing. If not, please check the Bf 110E sub-page. The second September release is a bit older, but still nice nevertheless, the Fokker Dr.I in 1/72nd scale. This is in the new style of Dual Combo packing, with two complete kits including PE sets and full size decal sheet inside. Most older Eduard kits will be re-released in the new style of packing in the future. Slated to be next is the Albatros D.V 1/72nd scale, which will follow in October.

PHOTOETCHED SETS IN SEPTEMBER The king of the September photoetch collection is surely the Stryker Slat armor set. This is one of the largest sets ever made for a 1/35th scale AFV kit. There is another Stryker set this month, the Stryker Stowage Belts. You can expect these two sets together with the two Stryker sets released last month in a BIG ED compilation late this year.
