1 INFORMATION FOR DISTRIBUTORS FEBRUARY 2017 Dear friends, This is the latest newsletter of current year, Today s issue is dedicated to the February 1017 releases, and because February is traditional Nürnberg Toy Fair month, let me just few words about Eduard activities in Nürnberg from February 1st, 2017, till February 6th, You may find us on our traditional location in Hall 7, with our team, exhibition, refreshment, news, catalogues, statistic and whatever you can need there, you are always welcome! The exact place and time is still unknown, unfortunately. We will give you all necessary information in separate e/mail immediately they will be known. So or so, we will be really happy to see you there. We do have the comprehensive information about 2017 new releases ready for you, and our presentation seems to be very good base for latter talks about possible business activities during the booth appointments. Next year is going to be very busy, with plenty of exciting releases and trade opportunities, and to see them in the general presentation would be useful, at least. However, we do have the coffee and the cakes there too, so don t wary, our conference is a comfortable and pleasant event, good to spend such hour and half! You all are welcome! Well, it s time for the February 2017 releases. The new kits are four, with two Profipacks, one Weekend and a Limited Edition release on the top of our offer. The bigger of the two Profipacks is the 1/48th scale Bf 109G-2, with four colorful markings and full load of photoetch and mask. This is the last boxing of our Bf 109F/G family, well known and successful. The smaller one is 1/72nd scale Fw 190A-5, the simple re-edition of the 190 version quickly sold out in Summer, I must confess the speed of the sale surprised me in that case, but it makes sense if you know, that Eduard kit is the single Fw 190A-5 kit in 1/72nd scale on the market right now. At least correct and serious kit, of course. The Weekend line represents Bristol F.2B Fighter in 1/48th scale, with two fresh markings, never used before in any Eduard kit. Aussie Eight, 1/72nd scale. The real top of the February production, the kit so complex, that it is not easy to describe it. See the profile pages, they clearly show, what you can expect. The concept of this kit is already well known from the 1/48th scale release. This one contains book too, in the second revised and enlarged edition, with 116 pages. The book as well as the kit is devoted to the Australian Spitfire Mk.VIIIs, their pilots and their service during WW II and after. The kit is released in DUAL COMBO mode, with two sets of plastic parts for two complete kits, the photoetch sheet, mask sheet, resin parts and large decal sheet printed by Cartograf with decal for no less than 32 marking options. Aussie Eight 1/72 is going to be released in 2000 pcs edition. The Brassin line follows the kit production in large part of the February list of releases. There are couple of sets designed to be used with Bf 109G-2/G-4, as well as with Bf 109F. See two sets of the bronze undercarriage legs for these types of aircraft. Also, there are two sets of various wheels for Spitfire Mk.VIII. Pay attention to the early style wheels for F-14A, designed for still new Tamiya s 1/48th scale Tomcat. The late style wheels reached an exceptional sales figure already first month of sale, which is unusual, and this new set could be very similar. Checking the photoetch list, you can find still less new releases than usual in the February 2017 collection. However, the sets for new Bf 109G-2 in 1/48th scale as well as for Spitfire Mk.VIII in 1/72nd scale are included. There is also an interesting trinity of the sets for P-40C in 1/48th scale by Bronco, similar structure is seen with sets for F2H-2 Banshee for the Kittyhawk kit. We continue with releasing of the 1/32nd scale B-17E/F sets for HKM kit, and there are two sets for T-14 Armata, the new Russian MBT, for 1/35th Zvezda kit. Two sets in 1/350 scale are included, the first set of the USS Iwo Jima LHD-7 collection designed for Trumpeter kit, and much smaller, but handy set of Royal Navy WW II ensign flags. This one is one of the new branch of very thick and flexible steel line painted sets, etched to the 0.1 mm steel, so popular among the aircraft belts sets. These flag follows the Steelbelts, hopefully to get the bestseller status too. Talking about steel sets, see the F-14A grilles 1/48th scale set, released under item number This would be very useful set not only for new Tamiya kit, which it is designed for, but also for older F-14 kits. The grilles are thin and fine, and because there are many of them on the kit surface, the set could be really popular, altogether, this set is not our ide, it is designed to follow a customer s wish. The Steelbelts style is newly represented also in Zoom line by four new color Steelbelt sets in Zoom fashion, which means smaller and cheaper sets. Early WWII RAF belts and Luftwaffe WWII belts for fighter aircraft are first two releases designed in that fashion for 1/72nd and 1/48th scales. The other sets are going to follow. Concerning the mask sets, these follows the photoetch production, note the 1/32nd scale B-17E and F sets, who are split to the two separate sets because the differences on the noses and turrets between E and F versions. Pay attention to the pages dedicated to the BIG EDs too, and note the 1/72nd scale Spitfire Mk.VIII stencils decal sheet, another part of the service for the Spitfire Mk.VIII kit, which could follow the successful Fw 190A-5 thanks to the fact this is the only correct Mk.VIII in 72nd scale available on the kit market right now.
