1 Eduard News June 2nd, 2009 The canopy for our Bf109E-4 is, in fact, narrower than it should be. Since our E-4 canopy was an extension of the E-3, I would say that we erroneously chose the point at which the corner of the newer canopy is located. Unfortunately, we located said point at the halfway mark of the radius of the E-3 segment that forms the top of the canopy, rather than locating it in the extended sides of the canopy walls. This mistake unfortunately slipped through QC, which is, to an extent, the result of using the E-3 as the basis from which to develop the E-4. So, we will fix the canopy problem, but it will be in the future releases of the E-4 and the E-7, and likewise for the Bf109F-2 and F-4 that are currently under development. Of course, the correction will also be implemented on the 1/48 th scale Bf109E that we are preparing for next year. KITS IN JUNE June will not see the premier of any totally new model. This month, our releases are based on proven molds. We are offering the SPAD XIII, this time in the colors of the USAAC from the end of The kit, under the title 'SPAD XIII AMERICAN EAGLES', is being released as a Limited Edition, and besides two trees of parts, contains a large decal sheet with four marking options, two figures of Eddie Rickenbacker and Frank Luke, their portraits on an A5 format, and the well known marking of the 94 th Aero Squadron, USAAC. The process of reinventing sold out kits in the new ProfiPACK format has found the Pfalz D.IIIa next in line, with new photoetching and innovative markings options. The Pfalz is, as with the SPAD XIII American Eagles, offered in a dual packing.

2 The third June release is the P-39Q Airacobra in the Weekend line. This is consistent with our plan to release each of our kits not only in a ProfiPACK edition, but also as a Weekend kit, and to keep up the releases of the Limited Edition kits with interesting, generally theme-oriented markings. KITS IN JULY In July, we will release three kits, two of which will be Weekend editions the F6F-5 Hellcat and the Fokker E.V. Not that these aren t interesting kits, but I rather suspect that the third one will the gem for the month. It will be another one-ten. We have been pretty thorough with the coverage of the Bf110 up to this point, but this one is a bit different. It will be the Bf110G-2, containing a large collection of changes and new items. These will be incorporated on five new trees, and another three for the subsequent G-4 version. This version will be even more expanded, thanks to its radar equipment. The G-2 will offer interesting armament options Bf 110G-2 1/ F6F-5 Hellcat 1/ Fokker EV 1/48 KITS IN AUGUST In August, we will, slowly but surely, take aim at nightfighters, a theme we want to focus more on in the second half of the year. In this month, we will jump in with both feet with the Fw190A Nachtjager as a Limited Edition, although it will be practically on par with a Royal Class boxing. It will contain moldings for all versions from the A- 5 to the A-8, and as a Dual Combo, will allow the building of two complete kits. Besides decals printed by Cartograf, there will be a further bonus of award representations.

KITS IN SEPTEMBER September is still a ways off, but as long as we are on a roll, we ll say a few words on that month s releases, if not for the fact that some will be available in late August. 4 PHOTOETCHING IN JUNE I think that we have prepared two very interesting projects for June. In 1/48 th, it is a collection of five (totaling six in all) for the F-22 from Academy, and in 1/35 th, two sets for the S-100 Schnellbott from Italeri. Besides these, I would like to draw your attention to the Big Ed release on the Ju88 in 1/32 nd from Revell. Not that the other releases for the month lack any appeal, but I would think that these would be the main points of interest. For whatever reason, I have had the Schnellbott sitting on my desk in my office for several weeks now, and it just won t leave me alone!
