2 pplication Timevalues of relaese The three phase thermobimetall relays are suitable for the protecting the electrical consumers especially electric motors against overcurrent and overheating. Common characteristic of typevariations The compensating bimetallic unit ensures the operation irrespectively the actual ambient temperature (within the given wide ambient temperaturerange). The resetting mode (manual or automatic) can be chosen. The thermal relays have a double slidesystem which operates the switchoff mechanism, in case of phase failure. It releases faster: within hours at % overload. The contacting mechanism contains two electrically independent NO and NC contacts. Mounting is possible to mm rail (snapon) or fixed with three M4 screws to a mounting plate. The device can be plugged directly to lower terminals (T, 4T, 6T) of DILK4.., DILK.., DILK7..., DILK..., DILK and DILK8 contactors after removing the fixing and connecting elements. The rightside terminal (L) of the relay should be put to the correct position before connecting to the contactor. 000 Operation Marks of the lower, middle and the upper values of current are printed on the adjusting knob (lower and upper limits on the front plate too). The value of the motor's rated current should be adjusted by the knob to the arrow. Note: The thermal relays in a stardelta combination are loaded with the phasecurrent of the motor. The rated operational current of the motor is times as much (that is the linecurrent). The corresponding lower and upper limits of the linecurrents can also be found under the adjusting knob. The resetting mode ( for manual, for automatic) can be chosen by the rightside (blue) button. It can be used for motorstarter, reversing and stardelta starter combinations with DILK, DILK8, DIL v, DIL, DIL, DIL 4 and DIL 6 contactors. The 0K type thermal relay and the threephase current transformer make one constructive unit. The wound iron cores of the current transformer are in a thermoplastic body. The insulated connecting wires of the main current pathes should be reeved through the holes of the body. The leadin conductors of the secondary winding are connected to the proper terminals of the thermal relay by our factory The timecurrent characteristic, properties, operation and main technical data of 6 thermal relay are equivalent with the 0K thermal relay. 4 . M type mini thermal relay The mini thermal relays are produced in the current range of 0,..., covered by differently range devices. They can be plugged directly to the lower terminals of the MK and MK 4 ype minicontactors, they cannot mounted independently to a plate or rail. Different properties characteristic deviating from common characteristic of typevariations: Choice of resetting mode: Manual: On the rightside the arm (with it can be chosen the resetting mode) is on the upper (M) position. In case of protecting operation (release) a yellow part appears in the signalling window of release. The reset can be made by push of blue ("R") button. Choise of adjustable currentrange and suggested fusevalues: range of currents [] 0, 0,4 0,4 0,67 0,67,0,0,,4,,8,7,4,6,,0 4,0 6,0, 8, 8,, Fuse [] utomatic: In the pushed position of the blue "R" button the arm on the right side should be put to lower () position. In case of protecting operation (release) the contacts return to their original position. If it is necessary to put in manual resetting mode the arm should be set the upper (M) position. By push the red (STOP) button the contactor assembled with M type thermal relay switches off.
