3 Section 1: Understanding this document The Plasma Powders WireJet-96 Combustion Wire metalizing gun is a direct replacement for the Metco 12E gun. All of the parts in this gun are interchangeable with OEM Metco parts. The part number suffix (i.e. the portion after the dash - ) should match the OEM Metco part number. For example: If you used to order a 12E-7-48 Nozzle, the PPS number would be To make matters more confusing, the 12E, 14E and 16E guns share many identical parts. So an order for a 14E-7-48 Nozzle would be shipped as a 12E-7-48 Nozzle. They are the same exact part. Metco also has a 6 digit numeric catalog number We can cross reference these as well but we ask that you try to match your parts to the numbers and pictures in this document. Regardless of the prefix, Plasma Powders staff will cross reference the parts requested and contact you with any questions. It is highly recommended that you supply the following information with a request for quote each time. Manufacturer and Model of equipment: (i.e. Metco 12E gun or PPS WireJet 96) Gas used in your shop: (i.e. Acetylene or Propane) Material type and Wire Size you use: (i.e. Stainless, Zinc, 1/8 or 3/16 ) This information will help ensure that you get the correct parts!

Remarks Clean outside of Gun <8 After Each Use is best Clean off drive rolls 8 Brush off & blow out dirt & chips Clean air cap 8 Wipe out soot. Clean nozzle jets 16 Use nozzle cleaning wire kit. Clean siphon plug jets and bleeder holes 40 Use nozzle cleaning wire kit. Oil upper drive roll bushing 40 Machine Oil - 2 drops Oil upper drive roll carrier hinge 40 Machine Oil - 1 drop. Lube turbine cover bearing 40 Gear lube 6mm strip Lube gear case 80 Gear lube - Makeup level. Clean turbine brake disc and shoe. 200 Wipe down with cleaning. Solvent do not lubricate Clean and re-lube control ring thread. 200 Valve lube Lube wire grip cam assembly drops of machine oil through set screw hole in side of bushing. Heavy coat of valve lube on cam. Lube cam follower 200 Heavy Coat of valve lube on washer-end of cam follower and thin coat of valve lube on inner wall of large hole in support block. Clean and lube gas head valve 500 Apply thin film of valve lube. Complete overhaul 1000 Wash out and replace all lubricants.
