3 General Information GS-Hydro supplies a comprehensive selection of hoses and hose couplings which includes BSP, NPT, JIC, Metric, SAE 3000/6000 Flanges and GS Retain Ring Flanges to various applications. GS-Hydro hoses can meet several industry standards and type approvals of main certificate institutes. Please specify your requirements when ordering. In order to guarantee peak performance of the hose, you should select the type of the hose according to specific conditions under which it is to be used. Therefore it is essential to obtain precise information about the application and required connections. Make sure that all requirements of the application are fulfilled. The system should not exceed published working s. Approved working s are indicated in the enclosed table. Do not use hydraulic hoses in place of permanent piping. Flexible hoses are to be used where it is necessary due to vibrations or flexible mounting of the machinery only. For gas applications the cover of the hose needs to be pin-prickled to allow diffused gas to escape and not be accumulated under the cover. 42 Bending radius theory for hoses α When a hose is bent between two points, it should not bend more than its minimum bend radius, under given maximum working. When hose is used beyond specified recommendations, unnecessary strain on the reinforcement and/or hose / coupling interface will shorten assembly life.
