3 CentriFlow 3D GMPM - Technical Catalogue 3 GENERL DESCRIPTION ND SURVEY CHRT PPLICTION The CentriFlow 3D plug fan range is a complete fan assembly to be used in ir Handling Units. The fan is available in 12 sizes and covers air flow up to 14 m 3 /s (5 4 m 3 /h) and pressure rises up to 2 4 Pa. The fan is equipped with high efficiency PMmotors which are driven by frequency converter using either - 1 V input or the MODBUS-RTU interface for communication. Fan is ready to be used - plug and play. The new developed impeller is specially designed to work inside an ir Handling Unit to give the best performance for high total efficiency low sound levels at inlet and outlet easy to install and use lowest possible vibration levels GENERL SURVEY CHRT Static Pressure (Pa) (m 3 /h) Volume Flow (m 3 /s)

4 4 CentriFlow 3D GMPM - Technical Catalogue GENERL ND DESIGN DESCRIPTION QULITY ND ENVIRONMENT ll components are designed and manufactured in accordance with applicable standards including the quality assurance system ISO 91, the environmental management system ISO 141 and the Energy Directive 29/125/EC and all Directives related to CE-marking. The GMPM fans are certified by TÜV in accordance with RLT-Richtlinie Zertifizierung: ugust 215/a in Class B. Manufacturing data is according to DIN class LK1. DESIGN DESCRIPTION FN IMPELLER VILBLE VERSIONS In CentriFlow 3D GMPM the same impeller is available with a per manent magnet motor in several drive arrangements, see below. The impeller is made of aluminium. The hollow section airfoil blades are made of extruded aluminium profile and are welded to impeller front and back plate. The leading edges of blades are inclined and the blades are backward curved. Number of blades is six (6). HUB Built-on drive The hub is made of die casted aluminium in sizes and of steel in sizes 8-9. is fastened to the hub using a keyway and a fastening screw, and additionally secured by an end bolt and washer. Loose drive MOTOR BRCKET ND BSE FRME The motor bracket is made of galvanized sheet steel (sizes 25-71) or of welded sheet steel and painted with 1 µm thick epoxy powder paint (sizes 8-9). The base frame is made of galvanized sheet steel (sizes 25-71) or hot dip galvanized steel (sizes 8-9).

5 CentriFlow 3D GMPM - Technical Catalogue 5 DESIGN DESCRIPTION FN INLET The fan inlet is designed to optimize the flow into the impeller. The inlet is deep-drawn in one piece and made of galvanized sheet steel. IR FLOW SENSOR The inlet is equipped with an air flow sensor as standard. It is used for measuring the air flow through the impeller. s standard there are two measurement nipples and four measurement nipples are available as accessory. When a fan is in ir Handling Unit, the differential pressure Δp m shall be measured between the static pressures in the suction side plenum and air flow sensor. The air flow is calculated as a function of the measurement pressure difference Dp m with the coefficient k as a parameter by using the following formula: q v k Δp m k-vlues air flow (m³/s) coefficient of the fan measurement pressure difference Fan size k-value q v = 1 Dp m k MOTOR CentriFlow 3D GMPM fans are supplied with IE4 high efficiency permanent magnet motors and a speed controller. The high efficiency is based on permanent magnets which eliminate rotor losses and therefore less magnetizing current is needed. Permanent magnet motors are based on standard frame sizes but are typically smaller than traditional C-motors with the same nominal output power. s are designed to be used with a speed controller, which can be included in the delivery as loose or built-on. controller has all parameters programmed before the delivery. In case of a loose delivery the screened cable is installed to the motor. Other versions have factory mounted cables between motor and speed controller. Direct connection on mains is not allowed. controllers need special parameters, which are ready programmed. ll fan-motor combinations are tested at the factory before the delivery. Loose speed controller can be mounted nearby the fan, e.g on the side panel of the air handling unit. screened cable of 3.5 m (sizes 25-5) or 4.5 m (sizes 56-9) is included in the delivery and connected on motor side. Built-on version is ready to be used and needs only power from mains and control signals. For specification of various speed controllers please see the table on next page. Wiring diagrams are to be found at the end of this catalogue. LOOSE SPEED CONTROLLER IS DELIVERED WITH 3,5 M OR 4,5 M LONG SCREENED MOTOR CBLE Please note: 1. If the speed controller is disconnected from the motor cable please remember to ground the shield 36º when rewiring. 2.
