1 T10 UTOMTI TRNSMISSION (340E, 340F) VLVE ODY SSEMLY VLVE ODY SSEMLY ONVEHILE REPIR UTION: T12U01 When working with FIPG material, you must observe the followings. Using a razor blade and a gasket scraper, remove all old FIPG material from the gasket surfaces. Thoroughly clean all components to remove all loose material. lean both sealing surfaces with a nonresidue solvent. pply FIPG in an approx. 1 mm (0.04 in.) wide bead along the sealing surface. Parts must be assembled within 10 minutes of application. Otherwise, the FIPG material must be removed and reapplied. 1. REMOVE DRIN PLUG ND DRIN TF 2. REMOVE OIL PN Some fluid will remain in the oil pan. (a) Remove the 19 bolts. Q07490 Install the blade of SST between the transmission case and oil pan, cut off applied sealer, and remove the oil pan. SST When removing the oil pan, be careful not to damage the oil pan flange. SST Q EXMINE PRTILES IN PN Remove the magnets and use them to collect steel particles. arefully look at the foreign matter and particles in the pan and on the magnets to anticipate the type of wear you will find in the transmission. Remove the 3 bolts, oil strainer and 2 gaskets. T F F: REMOVE OIL STRINER Remove the 4 bolts, oil strainer and 3 gaskets. e careful as some fluid will come out of the oil strainer. D E Z E: REMOVE OIL PIPE Pry up both pipe ends with a large screwdriver and remove the 2 pipes. 340F F: REMOVE OIL PIPE Pry up both pipe ends with a large screwdriver and remove the pipe. (e) Remove the valve body. e careful not to drop the check ball body and spring. T VZFE: REMOVE VLVE ODY (a) Disconnect the 4 connectors from each shift solenoid valves. Remove the 20 bolts and valve body. D RZFE: REMOVE SHIFT SOLENOID VLVE (a) Remove the solenoid valve mounting bolts. Remove the 3 solenoid valves. Remove the 3 Orings from the solenoid valves. Turn the valve body, remove the bolt, lock plate and shift solenoid valve. Remove the 3 Orings from the 3 solenoid valves VZFE: REMOVE DETENT SPRING 13. 5VZFE: REMOVE MNUL VLVE D01613 Q RZFE: INSTLL SHIFT SOLENOID VLVE (a) oat the 3 new Orings with TF. Install the 3 Orings to the shift solenoid valves. Install the 3 shift solenoid valves with the 3 bolts VZFE: INSTLL MNUL VLVE 16. 5VZFE: INSTLL DETENT SPRING 17. 5VZFE: INSTLL SHIFT SOLENOID VLVE (a) Install 3 new Orings to 3 shift solenoid valves. Install the shift solenoid valve and lock plate with the bolt. Install the 3 shift solenoid valves with the 2 bolts RZFE: INSTLL VLVE ODY (a) lign the groove of the manual valve to the pin of the lever. onnect the throttle cable to the cam. Q VZFE: INSTLL VLVE ODY (a) lign the groove of the manual valve with the pin of the lever. D01638 Install the valve body with the 20 bolts. Torque: 11 N m (110 kgf cm, 8 ft lbf) olt length: olt : 23 mm (0.91 in.) olt : 28 mm (1.10 in.) olt : 36 mm (1.42 in.) onnect the 4 connectors to each shift solenoid valves. D E E: INSTLL OIL PIPE Using a plastic hammer, install the 2 pipes into position. e careful not to bend or damage the pipes. Make sure that the oil pipes or magnet do not interfere with the oil pan. Make sure that the oil pipe or magnet do not interfere with the oil pan. Z E: INSTLL OIL STRINER (a) Install 2 new gaskets. T E Install the oil strainer with the 3 bolts. lamp solenoid wire.
