P Vehicles with Parktronic system (code 220) Slit the existing grommet (23) and insert trailer hitch wiring harness (1) into the grommet. - Insert grommet in the hole (24) and seal. - Remove the grommet of the trailer coupling wiring harness (1) which is no longer required. Shown on model 203 P Route trailer coupling wiring harness (1) along the longitudinal member through opening (see arrow) and onto the wheelhouse and fix in place with felt strips. 9 To extend the ground branch off line on the trailer hitch wiring harness (1), prepare an 800 mm long line with 2.5 mm2 with a 6 mm dia round cable lug in each case. 10 Connect the extended ground line (21) to the ground cable branch-off line from the trailer hitch wiring harness (1) with a soldered connector (see magnified section). i Cut the round cable lug off the ground branch-off line on the trailer hitch wiring harness (1). W6/1 Ground (left taillamp in trunk) P Route the extended ground line (21) from the trailer hitch wiring harness (1) along the vehicle's own wiring harness to the left taillamp (W6/1) and fix in position. 12 Fasten cable lug to ground (left taillamp in luggage compartment) (W6/1). 13 Route the trailer hitch wiring harness (1) along the vehicle''s own wiring harnesses over the left wheelhouse (Figure on left) to the left cable duct and fix in position up to the branch-off line (see arrow in Figure on right).
