1 Page 1 of 6 Units Affected: FedEx Ground Kalmar Ottawa T2 terminal tractors built between chassis serial numbers; and Possible Situation: The fuse holder is melting due to high current demand from the LED light bar and forward flood lights. Solution: A service kit to rewire the LED light bar is available. The kit includes replacement interior and exterior harnesses for relocating light bar to a dedicated circuit. Kit part number SK8797.

2 Page 2 of 6 CAUTION: PROPER LOCKOUT / TAGOUT PROCEDURES AS WELL AS PERSONAL SAFTETY PROCEDURES AND DEVICES INCLUDING EYE PROTECTION ARE REQUIRED. Park truck on a level surface Set park brake Chock wheels Shut off engine Lockout / tagout Rewire Disassembly Procedure: Disconnect the battery cables from the batteries Remove dash access panel covering cab power board Remove the 5 bolts securing front and sides of cab brow, remove brow, set aside Disconnect exterior harness CTT and discard (front flood lights and light bar) Push interior harness CTT and grommet into cabin interior On right-hand headliner retainer, remove the forward two screws Remove the right-hand A-pillar cover screws and cover To gain access to internal harness, remove two screws securing lower edge of forward headliner. If necessary, the forward headliner can be removed. Remove interior floodlight harness CTT , marking connector and retain relay and screws for installation of new interior harness CTT

3 Page 3 of 6 LED Light Bar procedure Existing light bar - cut off the existing harness connector and shrink tubing at connector exposing red & black wires. Care to not cut into wire insulation. Cut heat shrink tubing back approximately 3 from connector to expose wires Stagger cut the wires to match / align with the replacement harness splice connector, p/n: CTT Maintain the original harness length. Slide the smaller heat shrink tubing onto the red & black wires and the larger heat shrink tubing over the light bar harness for later heat shrink Butt splice wires; red to red (UFLC) and black to black (39LB). Crimp butt connector ends, perform wire tug test. Solder butt connector to secure.

4 Page 4 of 6 Position heat shrink tubing over soldered butt connections, heat shrink as required Slide larger shrink tubing over spliced wires allowing for overlap of light bar harness, heat shrink as required

5 Page 5 of 6 Interior and Exterior Cabin Harness Installation Forward Flood Lights and Light Bar Install CTT harness in same location as original interior harness using same relay and relay mounting hardware. Ensure marked connections match and secure harness in place Both internal harness exposed wire pins and sockets are routed to upper cab bulkhead connector (UCBC). Insert blue/black wire into bulkhead pin cavity G and white wire into bulkhead pin cavity J. Perform wire tug test to ensure engagement. Reposition the interior harness pigtail (UFLC) through the cab skin, position grommet into cab skin

6 Page 6 of 6 Reconnect CTT (UFLC) harness to LED light bar connector (FFLB) Reconnect CTT harness to both round front flood lights connectors (FFL1 & FFL2) Insert bare wire sockets of CTT into socket cavities of upper cab bulkhead. Insert blue/black wire into bulkhead socket cavity G and white wire into bulkhead socket cavity J perform wire tug text to ensure engagement. Reconnect batteries and test light bar and flood lights for proper operation Secure harnesses in place with tie straps as required Seal cab skin grommet and pass through harness with weather stripping adhesive Reassemble removed trim, dash access plate, A-pillar cover and cab brow Remove wheel chocks and lockout / tagout, return truck to service Special Tools: Video Light Bar Rewire Wiring drawing: SK8796 Included in Kit SK8797
