1 PILOT OPERTED PRESSURE RELIEF VLVE - Series VR4V The Veljan Pressure Relief Valve series VR4V are pilot operated and work Internal Dra on the prciple of hydraulic balancg. These valves are used to limit the system pressure a hydraulic system and protect the system agast pressure overload. ccurate pressure control even under wide flow variations are achieved by these valves. The valves may also be used to generate a pressure drop a hydraulic circuit. PC VR4V consist of a high flow poppet type seat valve section controlled by the low flow, adjustable pilot section mounted on top. Pressure settg is achieved by means of knurled knob. For tamper proof settg, an acorn nut with lead seal is available as option. Optional vent valve VVV1 External Dra sandwiched between pilot section and the ma body can be used for 1 ventg the VR4V valves. Exceptionally fast response is obtaed due to the precise ratio between the ma piston area and its mass. High pressure stability is an outstandg feature of VR4V valves. VR4V3 pilot valve 1 (OPTIONL) VR4V6/1 pilot valve 1 (OPTIONL) Normally port is connected to pump and port to tank. t low pressure, flow enterg port is blocked by the ma poppet. Pressure at port passes to the pilot section as well as to the top of the ma poppet through orifices. No flow takes place this portion until the pressure overcomes the sprg settg of the pilot cone. This pilot cone is lifted from its seat releasg a small pilot flow to tank and resultg a pressure drop across the ma poppet. The ma poppet opens and allows only enough flow from port to port matag let pressure at the set value of the pilot sprg. t drop of let pressure below the set value, the ma poppet closes stantly. Pilot dra is normally through port for ternal dra valves. External dra from port or 1 is optional. Port may be used for ventg or remote control of VR4V valves.
