The Midlum, Premium and Access have been developed with particular attention paid to driver comfort and optimised operating costs. Renault Trucks intends to make its products the unchallenged reference for all distribution professions, and more specifically for those linked to the environment, rescue and fire-fighting, vehicle transport, messaging services and controlled temperature transport. The Midlum and the Premium Distribution offer professionals from the distribution sector one of the best payloads on the market, the lowest possible fuel consumption, a widespread reputation for quality, as well as the best ergonomics on the market: a range that has proved its worth in terms of reliability and robustness. As the standard bearer for Renault Trucks urban range, the Midlum is even more optimised for reducing fuel consumption. Its Optifuel pack offers a driveline fitted with the robotised Optitronic gearbox, inhibition of the power mode, as well as automatic engine stoppage which shuts down the engine after five minutes idling. The Optifuel Midlum is particularly designed for the controlled temperature, express messaging and package delivery businesses. The most recent addition to the Distribution range is the Access. Launched in France, Italy, Spain and the Benelux countries, it is differentiated by its low cab for easy access, which means comfort of use. It completes the Renault Trucks range for household waste collection vehicles, particularly in city centres, with two cab options: one 2.5m wide, and the other a mere 2.29m. It is available with V engine and additional safety equipment, such as starter immobiliser and higher doors. The new power take-off allows the vehicle to be configured with new body types. 2 COMMUNIQU With its range of three complementary vehicles Midlum, Premium Distribution and Access Renault Trucks meets all the requirements of its customers in the 7.5 to 26-T range. The Midlum, with its light chassis and compact cabin, appeals to customers looking for a highly manoeuvrable vehicle with low dead weight, whilst the Premium Distribution, with the wider cab and more powerful engines, is for professionals looking for a robust, highperformance vehicle equipped with a very comfortable cab. A wide range of standard models, and others customised to specific functions (road cleaners, waste collection, fire and rescue vehicles, tankers, vehicle transport, etc.) meet the needs of all transport businesses. The range of wheelbases and chassis preconfigurations covers all the bodyable lengths needed by the market, whilst facilitating the installation of specific equipment. With a constantly enhanced service range, Renault Trucks offers its customers more than just a vehicle, it offers a comprehensive transport solution.

In the environment sector, the main applications are household waste collection, collection and transport of industrial waste, cleaning, road maintenance and sanitation. Users primary expectations are quality of service (efficiency, speed, unobtrusiveness), optimisation of costs, environmental performance (cleanliness, anti-pollution, noise reduction, etc.) and the safety of those on board and other road users, such as pedestrians. Renault Trucks is an environment sector specialist, and covers all the specific needs of the profession with Midlum and Premium Distribution, particularly with its product range tailored to the two main forms of waste collection in urope: rear loading and side loading. Also, professionals from the household waste collection market are increasingly looking for low cab solutions. They are safer, more secure for teams and more manoeuvrable. With Access, Renault Trucks has a vehicle that is specifically designed for the household waste collection professions, with rear-loading and suited to their operational requirements. Designed to facilitate waste collectors work, it ensures their safety and comfort and, in the end, their efficiency. Renault Access s further appeal is that the driver (who operates alone for this type of waste collection) can easily get out of the cab on either side if the container is on the wrong side for the vehicle s boom. Fire and rescue services are public services made available to the taxpayer by local authorities, comprising of missions to bring succour to people or property in a wide range of situations: city centres, industrial areas, rural areas or dense forests. And their missions are many and varied: firefighting, explosions, pollution (bacteriological or chemical), emergency rescue of individuals and animals (injured people, victims of road and sea accidents, etc.). For Renault Trucks, being a specialist of these professions means it has to be able to find solutions to many different situations in terms of bodying capacity, payload and fording capacity, but also develop specific vehicles such as fire trucks (FPT) for fire services working in an urban environment, or the CCF for forest fires. The messaging sector needs to transport and deliver packages within very precise timelines, ranging from a few hours to 72 hours max (express messaging.). With Midlum and Premium Distribution, Renault Trucks meets their requirements perfectly, in terms of load and useful volume, reliability and vehicle longevity, optimisation of fuel consumption and operating costs, cab comfort (cab dimensions, air conditioning, robotised Optitronic gearbox, etc.), on-board electronics, communication (real-time management of information, etc.), easy loading (low thresholds, door-openings, pneumatic suspension, etc.) and service: flexibility of opening times and the technical skills of the network (24/7 assistance), vehicle replacement in the event of a breakdown, and an extensive service network.

4 The controlled temperature sector deals with fresh, transformed or frozen food and a few other minor organic products (paint, cosmetics, plasma, etc.), plus electronics. Here, transporters need power and engine torque for high commercial speeds, reliability and longevity, low consumption to enhance operating profit, optimised load capacity (reduced vehicle weight with optimised wheelbases and chassis heights) to maximise payload, strengthening of bodywork elements exposed to impacts during unloading and loading operations, network reactivity and easy maintenance. COMMUNIQU Finally, vehicle transport is a highly specialised business involving the transportation of new, secondhand, vintage or service vehicles from A to B. In order to meet their needs, Renault Trucks has developed the lowest possible vehicle from a Premium Distribution base with a flat roof for over-cab vehicle loading, a low chassis for the lowest possible incline on the access ramp, compatible for cars with the lowest ground clearances, extra-ply tyres (high-strength walls to absorb impacts on pavements, etc.) low enough to optimise overall load height, high-amplitude pneumatic suspensions to lower the chassis during loading, and engine sizes from hp for the car transporter version, and pre-configured to accommodate on-board computer systems for convoy monitoring and repatriation of employee data. The car carrier version of the Premium Distribution strikes a successful compromise between a low cab and high power. The profession requires a multi-purpose truck able to receive any type of bodywork and suitable for a wide range of segmentations. Optifuel Solutions: tools and services dedicated to cutting fuel consumption The right truck configuration The first step in the battle to bring down fuel consumption is to adopt the best technological tools and the right technologies to run them (optimised driveline, robotised gearbox, Optiroll, etc.). Proper driver training Having a low-consumption truck is good, but you need to know how to drive it so that it consumes even less. Optifuel Training is Renault Trucks economic driving course, based on 30 years experience. Measuring and analysing consumption over the long term Once the drivers are trained, long-term accompaniment is required to reduce consumption over time, by monitoring fleet consumption with Optifuel Infomax. Reducing consumption throughout the vehicle s service life Properly configured, properly driven and properly monitored, the truck still has to be maintained, and this is where the know-how and experience of Renault Trucks network comes into play. The truck needs the latest technical innovations (Optifuel Retrofit) to maintain its energy performance throughout its service life.

5 From uro V to the V norm (nhanced nvironmentally friendly Vehicle) COMMUNIQU The nhanced nvironmentally friendly Vehicle (V) label is available on all vehicles of Renault Trucks Distribution range. V is an environmental standard whose criteria in terms of emissions (pollutants, particles, greenhouses gasses and unburned fuels) are even higher than uro V. This standard qualifies for grants in Germany and Holland. It is important to emphasise that these vehicles receive the best maintenance and offer the same level of reliability as all other Renault Trucks vehicles. The Clean Tech label To afford better visibility to vehicles using alternative energy sources, Renault Trucks hybrid, electrical and natural gas vehicles carry the Clean Tech label, with a dedicated logo affixed to the cab. The manufacturer has also embarked on a labelling campaign targeting its repairer network so as to guarantee customers quality of service to match these new technologies, particularly in terms of skills, training and use of specific tools. Renault Trucks Distribution range, with over 10 models using alternative energies (natural gas, hybrid, diesel electric or 100% electric) contributes the most efficiently to environmental protection. Renault Midlum, the broadest range on the market For applications ranging from 7.5 to 18 tons, Renault Trucks solution is Renault Midlum. Launched in 2000, this vehicle has been constantly upgraded to meet the most stringent standards through to a complete revamp in Multi-purpose: - The multi-purpose Midlum = 74 different models in 4x2 and 4x4 rigid truck versions. - Two engine sizes between 180 and 300 hp 1 (DXi 5: 180 to 220 hp and DXi 7: 270 to 300 hp). ngine optimisation has produced a high-performance range combining power and torque. - Gearbox: to meet an increasing demand for robotised gearboxes, the Optitronic 2 is available on most models. Users concur that the gearbox gives a comfortable ride, and it delivers up to 7% fuel consumption gains compared to an equivalent vehicle equipped with a manual gearbox, i.e., 800 euros per year off the fuel bill, for a truck doing 60,000 km per year. The manual box is still available. - Finally, the Midlum is available with three cab types (short, long and four door), five types of chassis and business-specific models. 6 Low capacities: Compared to the competition in the 12 ton 4x2 version, 4,100 mm wheelbase in service, 3,685 kg empty, the Midlum offers the user 50 to 555 kg of additional load for each rotation. Because it is the lightest vehicle on the market, the Midlum guarantees profitability for its users. COMMUNIQU Compactness: With a compact cab 2,100 mm wide, a very short turning circle and only 1,275 mm overhang, the Midlum offers excellent manoeuvrability. It is light and easy to handle, and is perfect for urban use. Driving pleasure and safety: With a deep-sloping dashboard and laminated glass windscreen as standard for the whole range, wide angle wing mirrors and docking mirrors, the Midlum can also be equipped with side windows, Vision doors which facilitate feeding into traffic improving safety for the driver and other road users, a reversing camera and a rear window. A camera vision system is also sold as an accessory. Intervention times and costs are reduced for maximum profitability. Mobility and efficiency: The Midlum offers optimised average speed and reduced consumption with DXi 5 and DXi 7 engines from 180 to 300 hp. The manual gearbox, with its shift stick on the dashboard, as well as an automatic gearbox with two possible configurations according to vehicle use (energy saving or dynamic) all contribute to the vehicle s efficiency and ergonomics. The whole of the driveline has been designed to give the driver unparalleled driving flexibility and handling. ase of bodying: The Midlum is particularly adaptable to activity specifics. With 19 wheelbases, ranging from 2,700 to 6,800 mm, the Midlum has bodyable lengths from 3,700 to 10,000 mm. The vehicle has been optimised to meet every need and allow bodybuilders to perform their work quickly and efficiently, without compromising vehicle quality. The wide choice of wheelbases covering all bodyable lengths and the chassis make bodybuilders work easier, with the added bonus of a reduced cab-to-body gap. An electronic bodybuilder module kit (BBM) offers additional support, offering technical solutions to optimise the Midlum s bodyability.

7 Midlum Optifuel COMMUNIQU As the standard-bearer for Renault Trucks urban range, the Midlum can be optimised further still to reduce consumption. Its Optifuel pack is equipped with a driveline with Optitronic robotised gearbox, a lock on the power mode and an automatic engine stop that cuts off the engine after five minutes idling. The pack is delivered in partnership with Michelin, whose tyres are fitted to the vehicle. The pack brings with it the possibility of exclusive membership to the Michelin uro Assist breakdown service, which is normally reserved to long distance. The Midlum Optifuel is particularly suitable for controlled temperature transport, express messaging services and parcel delivery. In addition to this pack, Renault Trucks recommends the use of the fuel consumption, analysis and monitoring tool Optifuel Infomax. Renault Premium Distribution For ton applications, Renault Trucks solution is Renault Premium Distribution. This vehicle has been constantly upgraded to satisfy increasingly stringent demands. Now the DXi 7 can be fitted with the robotised Optitronic gearbox and the DXi 11 the Optidriver+. With the Optitronic gearbox, compared to a vehicle equipped with the manual gearbox, the Premium Distribution reduces consumption and C0 2 emissions by 7% 3. Flexibility: the Premium Distribution offers a wide range of options: - fifty different models in 4x2-6x2 rigid trucks and 4x2 tractors - two engine types and six power ratings: 270 hp (1 010 Nm), 310 hp (1 150 Nm), 340 hp (1 300 Nm) for the DXi 7, and 380 hp (1 800 Nm), 430 hp (2 040 Nm) and 460 hp (2 200 Nm) for the DXi11, - three types of gearbox (manual, automatic, robotised): the manual ZF cosplit 4 gearbox (16 gears) on the DXi11 and ZF cosplit 9S1310 on the DXi 7, the robotised Optidriver+ gearbox on the DXi 11 and the Optitronic robotised gearbox on the DXi 7. - three types of cabs, with three different depths, - two types of chassis, - tyre profiles adapted to each use. This makes the Premium Distribution the reference vehicle for urban and regional distribution. 3 For a vehicle covering an average of 60,000 km per year, annual savings can reach around 750. Reduced fuel consumption also means lower CO 2 emissions by up to 1.95 tons per year per vehicle.

8 COMMUNIQU Load capacity: The Premium Distribution has the best load capacity in its segment. With an empty weight of 5,880 kg for the 4x2 19 ton rigid truck, a short cab and a 4,300 mm wheelbase, the Premium Distribution offers more payload for each rotation. This means optimised customer profitability. Driving pleasure and safety: the cabin suspensions, pneumatic chassis suspension and chassis width ensure that the Premium Distribution offers the best road-holding on the market, and optimal driving comfort. As on the Renault Midlum, the equipment fitted to the Premium Distribution offers the driver wide visibility around the vehicle for maximum safety. In the manually-controlled mechanical gearbox version, the Premium Distribution can be fitted with a unique expert economic driving aid system called Driving Monitoring System (DMS), which recommends the optimal gear at any time. The gearbox ranges promote simple, comfortable driving for urban distribution vehicles, and makes this vehicle a leader on the market in terms of speed of gear change. This contributes to driver safety. The Premium distribution also has a complete braking system with BS 5 (ABS, ASR traction control, the hill start aid function, SP and the electronic stability programme), APM, and its Optibrake retarders (integrated engine brake + exhaust brake or hydraulic or electric transmission). The reversing camera comes as an option. The combination of these different systems means control can be maintained over the vehicle in all circumstances, promoting safety, performance and driving comfort. Compactness: With a cab width of 2,500 mm on the wings, the Premium Distribution has an excellent turning circle, thanks to its front overhang of 1,395mm. Its rear steering axle on the 6x2*4 is electronically piloted for easier manoeuvrability, in particular in an urban environment. asy maintenance: Maintenance on the Premium Distribution is optimised and simplified, in particular thanks to the 3-piece shield structure. The driveline has been designed for reduced maintenance. This means the vehicle is always in service. Mobility and efficiency: The DXi 7 and DXi 11 engines on the Premium Distribution offer power ratings from 270 to 460 hp (car transporter version). This means maximum profitability for the customer, whilst optimising fuel consumption and respecting the environment. The driveline is designed to meet the specific requirements of heavy distribution, and is as suitable for long distance as it is for urban work. asy bodying: With 14 wheelbases from 3,500 to 6,800 mm, the Premium Distribution offers the widest diversity of wheelbases for compact rigid trucks, and accommodates bodying from 4,200 to 10,100 mm. For the Premium Distribution, Renault Trucks has also developed certain innovations such as the BBM box (cf. Midlum) to bodybuilders work simpler and quicker. Numerous bodybuilder presets, such as configuration, pre-drilling of the chassis and different kits all improve bodyability without compromising vehicle quality.

9 COMMUNIQU The Optitronic gearbox improves driver comfort To facilitate driving in all circumstances without losing concentration, the dedicated functions previously developed have been used here, and more particularly: An economic mode which calculates the best compromise between vehicle consumption and performance, and automatically adapts to the conditions of use according to payload and road conditions A manoeuvre mode which increases precision in vehicle movement at very low speeds by linking the position of the clutch to the position of the accelerator pedal A kick-down mode which increases the vehicle s acceleration potential A temporary manual mode for situations when the driver wishes to modify the gear-change strategy, and which is deactivated when the speed control is triggered.

10 Renault Access COMMUNIQU As its name suggests, the Renault Access has been designed for tasks where drivers have to get in and out of the cab frequently. Accessibility and comfort: The Renault Access has a low cab with the lowest step height on the market at only 435 mm from the ground, with just one step to get into the cab. The cab floor is perfectly flat, which means the driver can get out on the left or on the right, which is practical when cars or walls inhibit access to the cab. Inside, the driver can stand up without any problem, thanks to 2 metres of headroom. In a sitting position, he has a pneumatic suspended seat and can be accompanied by three crew members, all of whom have their own seat backs, plus over 700 litres of storage space in the boxes around them. The ergonomics of the dashboard have been designed to ensure the driver can concentrate on driving. As an option, the Renault Access can be fitted with a bus-type passenger door (accordion), which means it doesn t open out onto the road. Safety: Nothing has been left to chance: the Renault Access is equipped with ABS braking and ASR traction control as standard, which means the driver keeps control of the vehicle even on slippery roads, and a start disabler to prevent theft or inappropriate movement of the vehicle when the driver is not in the driving seat. The vast m 2 windscreen, the two wide-angle wing mirrors, plus docking mirrors, give the driver optimum visibility. He can anticipate and deal with all situations given the immediate visibility of pedestrians and cyclists around the truck. Finally, two emergency rotating lights are directly integrated into the vehicle, and therefore protected from knocks. To enhance the safety of vehicle users in their daily work, new, higher doors have been installed. This means they cover the access step and prevent any inappropriate use of it. Some countries have made this type of equipment compulsory. Flexibility: Designed to give the truck access to every part of town, the Renault Access is available in two profiles: 4x2 rigid truck (18-19t of GVW) or 6x2*4 rigid truck (26t) with two wheel track widths of 2.29 or 2.5 m, a turning cycle of 6.6 m only between pavements, and available with short wheelbases from 3,250 mm (4x2 rigid truck). Drivers working in town centres really need a vehicle that can get anywhere, and if needs be, they can opt for a narrow wheel track version of 2.29 m only, whatever the profile. Renault Trucks combination of the narrow wheel track version and a low cab is unique amongst uropean manufacturers. Finally, we should emphasise that as an option, the height of the chassis can be adjusted by +70 mm to -90 mm in relation to driving height. For bodybuilders, power there are more take-off options to adapt to new equipment. ngine versions and driving: The engine used is the DXi 7 uro V, available in 270 hp or 310 hp versions. The latter complies with the V (nhanced nvironmentally friendly Vehicle) standard. The gearbox is an automatic Allison 3000 that optimises consumption and guarantees ride comfort for occupants. There are two driving modes available: eco, which enhances fuel consumption, and dynamic for more arduous use requiring maximum pulling power. Furthermore, to adapt to the requirements of household waste collection vehicles subject to incessant stops and starts, the gearbox automatically switches to neutral when the vehicle stops, without the driver intervening.

11 COMMUNIQU Vehicles powered by alternative energies Renault Premium Distribution Hybrys Tech As a pioneer in experimentation on this technology in urope, Renault Trucks started testing its Premium Distribution Hybrys Tech in the streets of the Lyon area in 2009 under actual working conditions. After this first version, two other vehicles were put on the roads to finish testing the efficiency of the technology for different urban applications. In 2008, Coca-Cola started using a Premium Distribution Hybrys Tech in a van version to distribute drinks and products of the brand in the Brussels conurbation, serving its different points of sale. In the same year, Colas tested the vehicle to deliver granulates and worksite materials. These two vehicles are still being used, to the great satisfaction of these key accounts. In 2011, Renault Trucks started selling hybrid vehicles. The transporter Norbert Dentressangle received the keys to its first two 310 hp hybrid vehicles, the first being used in the Paris area for logistics between platforms and outlets of Carrefour group. The other is based in the Lyon suburbs, transporting tyres between logistics platforms and different points of sale and distribution. A year later, Norbert Dentressangle received the keys to a third Premium Distribution Hybrys Tech for use in the streets of London. In September 2011, Renault Trucks delivered a Premium Distribution Hybrys Tech to the Geodis BM group. Geodis is using it for its customer Carrefour on the roads of the Lille conurbation. This hybrid technology truck is equipped with a back box fitted with a cryogenic refrigeration unit. This refrigeration technology works with liquid hydrogen, and has the great advantage of being totally silent and CO 2 emission free, whilst offering optimal conservation of foodstuffs. For Point P., the construction materials distributor, Renault Trucks equipped a Premium Distribution Hybrys Tech with a crane bed, and at 26 tons it is the biggest hybrid of this type ever manufactured in urope. It is being used in the Paris area to deliver to Point P s customers. Since December 2011, a 26-ton Premium Distribution Hybrys Tech 6x2 310 hp has been travelling the streets of Lyon to supply Casino s city centre supermarkets with dry and fresh products. The vehicle was handed over to the company Jacky Perrenot, which works out of the asydis warehouse in Grigny (Rhône), home to the logistics subsidiary of Casino group. The Premium Distribution Hybrys Tech is bodied with a Silent Green refrigeration set developed by Frappa, and awarded the innovation prize at the 2010 edition of the Solutrans show (Lyon). It has an anti-skid aluminium floor, specially designed to reduce road noise, and rear closing, with an electric vertical door, to keep the noise to a minimum. Cold is generated by a direct hydrogen refrigeration system. It does not use a thermal engine, which means there is no noise during delivery phases. This qualifies the Silent Green box for the Piek label. And the cooling system emits no CO 2. Further south, ID Logistics has been using a Premium Distribution Hybrys Tech since the beginning of the year in its work for Carrefour. The 26-ton refrigerated truck delivers daily to shops in Marseille and Nice for the group.

12 COMMUNIQU communes of the conurbation. Mulhouse Alsace Agglomeration has chosen a hybrid household waste collection truck by Renault Trucks as part of the launch of its Climate Plan. This vehicle will collect waste from 16 of the 32 In September 2012, Renault Trucks delivered a 26-ton Premium Distribution Hybrys Tech with a household waste collection unit to the Spanish company Urbaser. It is the first waste collection hybrid vehicle on the roads in Spain. Delivered in 6x2*4 configuration, it has a DXi hp engine. Urbaser is the Spanish leader in household waste treatment, specialising in household waste management and urban cleanliness solutions. In all these applications, Renault Trucks hybrid technology has proved its worth, both in terms of fuel consumption reduction and efficiency. The Renault Premium Distribution CNG (Gas) Renault Trucks sells and maintains a Premium Distribution running on natural gas. This energy offers considerable benefits to the environment, since it gives off no exhaust and no particles. Also, the exhaust gasses emitted are practically inodorous. Furthermore, a natural gas vehicle is less noisy than a thermal vehicle, which is a real option for urban solutions, and primarily for local authorities seeking alternative solutions to diesel that offer reliability and performance. The Renault Premium Distribution CNG is available in a 4x2 18/19-ton rigid truck version, and a 6x2*4 26-ton rigid truck version. The engine is a Cummins ISL G, developing 300 hp and 1,166 Nm. The transmission is automatic, with an Allison 3,000 gearbox. Wheelbases range from 3,500 to 4,750 mm, with an extension of 1,350 mm for the 6x2*4. These two profiles are also available bodied in a household waste collection version. The natural gas range is currently distributed in seven uropean countries: France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Holland and Norway. It uses the Renault Trucks network, specially trained to service natural gas vehicles. Apart from some special tooling, maintenance operations on natural gas vehicles are fairly standard, with very little difference between them and thermal vehicles.

13 Quality serving longevity COMMUNIQU For all of its product ranges, and even more so for the Distribution range, Renault Trucks has introduced a policy allowing it to deliver the highest level of quality on the market today.
