3 INTRODUCTION This resource guide is meant to provide information about the resources available within Lincoln County, Maine for emergency responders. This first version is primarily aimed at identifying the fire department resources within the county. This guide is intended to provide rapid access to resource lists during emergencies using the index and tabs to pull up single resource items such as tankers, pumpers, forestry trucks and special capabilities (i.e. positive pressure fans, thermal imaging cameras, deck guns, etc.). In addition, water sources and landing zones are identified to ensure that common terminology is used to identify where water sources are located and what they are called for proper mutual aid response. In addition to rapid emergency use, this guide provides a detailed, consolidated list of resources which can be used for capital planning efforts. Under each town, a full description of all apparatus is provided with the equipment carried. During apparatus purchase planning, this list can provide information about what resources are in the immediate mutual aid response area as well as capabilities that may not exist. This guide can also help with preparations for setting up mutual aid response protocols by helping identify the resources available by various departments. This guide is setup to print out on two sided sheets and page breaks have been provided to assist with inserting page dividers for rapid access to various reports. The first part of the guide contains the full information of each department, including meeting and training nights, number of firefighters, Chief contact information and the location of each station as well as full data on each apparatus in the department. The second part of the guide consists of various reports to provide quick access to different information. This includes landing zones, water sources, contacts, fire department personnel, auxiliary equipment, listing of apparatus that carry various pieces of equipment, etc. The complete breakdown is shown in the Index on the previous page.
