5 Customers who apply must receive natural gas delivery service from Ameren Nicor Peoples North Shore Public Sector facilities Local Governments, Municipal Corporations Schools, Community Colleges, Public Universities State/Federal facilities

6 Boiler Tune-Ups Boiler size >200,000 Btuh High/Low ($300) or Fully Modulating ($600) No previous tune-up within last 12 months Steam traps For traps that are leaking steam (failed open ) Detection method (pyrometer, ultrasound or visual) $60 - $300 per steam trap No previous scheduled maintenance within 24 months

14 Must be completed by the Contractor performing the work Complete a separate Section 1 for each boiler included in the application A copy of the Contractor s standard Combustion Report must be attached to the filled out worksheet.

15 Tune-Ups must produce energy savings to be eligible (e.g. after tune-up readings must have higher efficiencies than before tune-up readings)

18 Checklist of tasks to be completed The contractor performing the tune-up is required to initial that each of the following tasks has been completed. Measure combustion efficiency before tune-up using an electronic flue gas analyzer Include copy of combustion analyzer test (combustion report) Adjust airflow and reduce excessive stack temperatures Adjust burner gas input, manual or motorized draft control Clean burners, combustion chamber and fire-side exchange surface Inspect and clean burner nozzles Check for proper venting Complete visual inspection of system piping and insulation Check safety controls Check adequacy of combustion air intake Measure combustion efficiency after tune-up using an electronic flue gas analyzer
