3 Appalachian Power Virginia C&I Program Incentives of 5 per kwh saved for qualifying energy efficiency projects on or before 12/31/2018 Helps businesses offset the costs of making cost-effective improvements: Better ROI Faster payback Lower utility bills for years to come

4 C&I Program Rules Contingent on project review and acceptance of savings. Submit complete application within 60 days of installation. Or reserve funds for up to 90 days prior to expected completion date. Rebate check paid within 4-6 weeks of final application s verification and approval. The limit per account is $150,000 per program year. The rebate amount may not exceed 50% of project total costs

AEP Appalachian Power customers that are not eligible to participate: Customers with a peak demand of more than 10MW Customers served under the Public Authority and Commonwealth of Virginia tariffs Residential Customers

14 VFD Rebates Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) on cold and hot water pumps: New VFD installed on new or existing equipment Mounted on chilled or hot water systems replacing a primary pump in a single or duplex configuration -- secondary or back-up configurations do not qualify Limited to motors of 200 HP or less Pre-inspected by program staff for any applications involving over 100 HP (on one or multiple motors) For example:

16 Kroger (VA) 13 fuels centers in VA evaluated for LED upgrades 1 st facility Valley Gateway Blvd, Roanoke: Replaced 36 single lamp metal halide units with 36 LEDs Benefits from 1 st facility: Saves 22,900 kwh annual energy use = $1,832 Reducing maintenance costs $1,145 rebate reduced payback LED lighting upgrades will save us on both energy use and maintenance costs, so we re rolling them out across all Kroger facilities in WV, VA, NC, OH, KY and TN. 17 Camrett Logistics (VA) Program team evaluated facility and estimated rebate, and helped Camrett s contractors with paperwork Upgrades to warehouse: Replaced over 4,500 8 T12 110W HO fixtures with W LEDs Benefits: Saves 2,384,143 kwh annual energy use = $178,810 $119,207 rebate with payback of 1.6 years

18 HOW TO APPLY

19 How to Apply Applications and required documents are due within 60 days of installation. Final application package must include: Rebate Application Form Rebate Worksheet(s) with project implementation details Project Documentation (as required) itemized invoices, equipment specifications, engineering reports, modeling output, photographs W-9 (LLC, individual, partnership, property management companies)
