2 INTRODUCTION The Tanek range of luminaires is designed for use in areas where there is a high risk of vandalism. Designed with an extremely robust 1.2mm body with an all weather coating, the Tanek is ideal for a wide range of applications where impact resistance is critical. Both housing and diﬀuser are designed to provide long service in the ﬁeld and withstand impacts up to IK10. All Tanek luminaires are supplied with tamper resistant diﬀuser ﬁxings to minimise the risk of vandalism and are supplied with our 5 year warranty to ensure peace of mind (terms and conditions apply, please see our warranty page for full details). The Tanek has been designed to provide ﬂexibility without compromising strength, oﬀering 1200mm and 1500mm housings, twin and single lamp T5 lamp or LED options, white or black bodies and frosted or opal diﬀusers, all of which can be combined to produce the luminaire of your choice. 6 SLIM 4FT SLIM 5FT WARRANTY All Dextra products are supplied with a 12 month warranty for any defect that may occur with the product during this time. Any defect will either be repaired on site free of charge or the defective product may be replaced on a chargeable basis and credit given against defective product returned. The course of action taken will be at our discretion and dependent on the nature of the defect. The control gear within our high frequency and LED luminaires is further underwritten by our suppliers for a period of up to 5 years in total from the time of purchase. This comprises labour and parts for the ﬁrst 3 years and free of charge components only for the ﬁnal 2 years. PROTEC LED FR 8W GU10 luminaires and all Emergency LED ranges such as LED 3, EXI, HBE, OAT, OEZ, AME, OEH and TWS * are exempt from the 5 year warranty and are supplied with 1 year warranty only. PROTEC LED COB luminaires are supplied with a three year warranty for replacement luminaires only. All warranties are subject to correct use of the product and will be invalidated by misuse, for example incorrect installation or unsuitable environmental conditions. It is the duty of the customer to ensure that all relevant tests have been carried out prior to requesting site visits or replacement products, for example replacement of lamps, commissioning of sensors and inspection of external wiring. In the event that no defect is found with the product our costs for attending site will be recharged to the customer and credit will not be issued against returned products. No consequential losses incurred resulting from any defect with our product will be reimbursed. Consumable commodities such as lamps, starters and batteries are excluded from these warranty terms. 7 5 year warranty on LED product ranges is subject to a maximum of 4000 operating hours per year and only applies where failures exceed the component manufacturers expected failure rate and lumen depreciation. 9 Tanek LED V / 50-60Hz IP65 IK WARNING - THIS LUMINAIRE MUST BE EARTHED This luminaire has been tested and is manufactured to comply with BS EN : specification for general requirements and tests. It should be installed by a suitably qualified person in accordance with IEE. CAUTION: there is a potential risk of electric shock from the LED boards when the product is operational with the cover removed. NOTE: INSTALLATION AND OPERATION OF THE LUMINAIRE BEYOND ITS SCOPE OF SUPPLY WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY. 2 Carefully unpack the luminaire and undo the 10 x M5x20 socket screws in the frame and lift the entire frame from the housing. 3 Undo the 2 x M4x10 machine screws in the ends of the gear tray as show in the image and remove the gear tray from the housing. 4 Secure the housing to the wall or ceiling as required using the four holes in the rear of the housing. NOTE: IT IS THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THE HOLES ARE SEALED. FAILURE TO SEAL THE HOLES WILL INVALIDATE THE LUMINAIRE'S IP RATING. 5 Reconnect the plug to the tray leaving sufficient cable length to reach. DIL710002_B Remove the female socket from the tray as shown and hard-wire to the mains supply. 6 Carefully return the gear tray into the housing and secure into place with the 2 x M4x10 machine screws provided. Ensure the mains cable does not become trapped when doing so. 04/01/16

10 Tanek LED 7 Feed the toggles on the tether wires through one of the 7mm rounds on the end brackets inside the housing. Hole location as shown to the right. 8 Reverse step 1 to secure the frame back onto the housing. Do not over tighten the socket head screws when replacing the frame.
