2 INTRODUCTION For premium office applications the Rubix Recessed brings a new level of style and functionality to the market. Nine individual cells with precise optical control allow for spacings up to three by three meters whilst still maintaining 400 lux on the working plane at typical ceiling heights and also providing compliance with UGR 19 in most room sizes and meeting the 3000 candela BSEN requirement. The main source is complimented by a surrounding diffused back lit halo ensuring that the Rubix combines a unique style with optimum performance. The halo effect brings new functionality to the Dextra recessed range with the ability to individually switch either the 9 cells or the halo allowing for low level background lighting or emergency operation. The Rubix Recessed is supplied with a 600X600 metal trim as standard however is available in a range of sizes such as 500X500 and 750X750 and can also be supplied in lay in and surface mount variants. A range of presence detection and daylight regulation sensors can also be incorporated into the surrounding trim or air handling channels if required. 5 TECHNICAL RUBIX 300 x 300 Lay-In Rubix Recessed WARRANTY All Dextra products are supplied with a 12 month warranty for any defect that may occur with the product during this time. Any defect will either be repaired on site free of charge or the defective product may be replaced on a chargeable basis and credit given against defective product returned. The course of action taken will be at our discretion and dependent on the nature of the defect. The control gear within our high frequency and LED luminaires is further underwritten by our suppliers for a period of up to 5 years in total from the time of purchase. This comprises labour and parts for the first 3 years and free of charge components only for the final 2 years. PROTEC LED FR 8W GU10 luminaires and all Emergency LED ranges such as LED 3, EXI, HBE, OAT, OEZ, AME, OEH and TWS * are exempt from the 5 year warranty and are supplied with 1 year warranty only. PROTEC LED COB luminaires are supplied with a three year warranty for replacement luminaires only. All warranties are subject to correct use of the product and will be invalidated by misuse, for example incorrect installation or unsuitable environmental conditions. It is the duty of the customer to ensure that all relevant tests have been carried out prior to requesting site visits or replacement products, for example replacement of lamps, commissioning of sensors and inspection of external wiring. In the event that no defect is found with the product our costs for attending site will be recharged to the customer and credit will not be issued against returned products. 6 Consumable commodities such as lamps, starters and batteries are excluded from these warranty terms. Batteries are supplied with a twelve month warranty only. 5 year warranty on LED product ranges is subject to a maximum of 4000 operating hours per year and only applies where failures exceed the component manufacturers expected failure rate and lumen depreciation. 7 In order to switch the main 9 cells and halo section, two live feeds or two digital feeds must be connected to the luminaire.

8 Rubix Recessed V / 50-60Hz IP20 IK00 WARNING - THIS LUMINAIRE MUST BE EARTHED This luminaire has been tested and is manufactured to comply with BS EN : specification for general requirements and tests. It should be installed by a suitably qualified person in accordance with IEE. CAUTION: there is a potential risk of electric shock from the LED boards when the product is operational with the cover removed. NOTE: INSTALLATION AND OPERATION OF THE LUMINAIRE BEYOND ITS SCOPE OF SUPPLY WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY. + DIL Lay-In Lift and tilt the lay-in frame into the ceiling grid as shown. 2. Carefully lift and tilt the luminaire into the frame Remove screw from terminal box and remove lid. Wire mains cable(s) into relevant marked terminals and replace cover and screw. Ensure cable clamps are engaged fully. 6. Clip-In For a clip-in version, insert clip-in tile into ceiling grid and ensure the dimples fully engage. DIL Revision - A As previously demonstrated in steps 2 4, install luminaire and wire mains cable(s) as required. 04/09/2018
