The cold cathode lamp also provides energy savings of 40% over a comparable T5 8w tube. Edge-lit exit sign available in 3 Colours Contemporary White, Smart Silver or Classic Black 4 Years maintenance free The cold cathode lamp, advanced battery charging and quality components enable a long lifespan of at least 4 years without maintenance. Easy first-fix installation Luminaires have a first-fix design which allows full wiring of the universal base unit followed by positive snap-in fixing of the luminaire body at a later point. Assured performance The lamp, battery and circuit form the key functional elements of the luminaire. Reliant luminaires use long life components including lamp and batteries that will enable the product to endure a period of at least 4 years without replacement parts. After this period, in the unlikely event that a fault occurs, then simply unplug and fit a new luminaire body. In essence, Reliant luminaires do not require any user intervention, maintenance or replacement of parts, over the long term, minimising maintenance costs and giving confidence and peace of mind to the user. Assured compliance All fittings are designed to fully comply with BS EN Intelligent Self-Test as standard All Reliant luminaires have an in-built self-testing system ensuring all testing and fault identification is handled automatically. This feature is offered as standard on all versions of the product. The fitting will do weekly operation checks and conduct its own full duration test every year. Designers can now choose from standard wall or ceiling mounting, recessed ceiling or horizontal wall mounting where space is restrictive, or suspended fixing, with rods or wires, for maximum decorative appeal. Reliant luminaires comprise a first-fix plate with 5-way terminal block, luminaire body complete with lamp, batteries, circuit and legend cover. The luminaire body snaps into the first-fix plate and the legend cover snaps onto the body and hides the lamp. The legend is the main accessory and is sold separately. Variants are available with different directional arrows and can be sourced as either single or double sided. 3 Reliant mounting accessories Reliant luminaires are available with a range of accessories for enhanced fitting, including wall, ceiling, horizontal and recessed mounting, or suspension via rods or wires. Horizontal HM An optional attachment permits the luminaire to be wall-mounted horizontally with the legend hanging vertically. This kit comprises a reflector to redirect light to the legend, a legend cover and all necessary fixings to secure the legend. This option is ideal for use above doors where space is limited. Recessed Kit RK Recessed kit comprises a trim plate, recessing cage and fasteners. The recessing cage is secured to the ceiling via its side wings. The luminaire is installed by simply pressing it into place and replacing the cover. Wall Brackets WB The wall bracket features a ratchet detail permitting the sign to be angled at virtually any angle to the wall, specifically parallel and perpendicular mountings. Suspension Kits Suspension mounting is available in 2 basic forms, either as a wire suspension or by twin rod mounting. Wire Suspension Kits WS A wire suspension kit with facility for angled mounting where different lengths of wire need to be achieved, as the wire can be cut to specific lengths as required. For precise measurement, the adjusting device for the wire is pulled through a clutch mechanism until the desired length is reached, then the wire is cut to length. The cut end does not enter the first-fix plate so cannot chafe electrical wiring or compromise safety.
