The mission of Midwest Beef Alliance is to raise, develop, and market beef animals that will be acceptable to other beef producers and will enhance their breeding programs. The environment surrounding Beef Production is constantly changing. Look at the costs involved today in producing beef: feed cost, fuel cost, fertilizer cost, etc... A beef producer has some control over these rising costs, however, our control over input costs is limited. A beef producer can make choices with regard to the genetics he uses to produce calves. We believe Midwest Beef seed stock genetics can help cattlemen as the bulls represented in the sale are bred for efficiency: GAIN, FEED EFFICIENCY, CARCASS QUALITIES, and CALVING EASE. We ve selected for disposition, performance, and carcass using AI and natural service sires. Feed efficiency and docility merit special attention in our selection of herd bulls. We always keep our focus on producing cattle that will work in the commercial industry. A major tool in the selection process has been the AHIR program and performance testing through the University of Missouri and Rogers Valley Farm Feedlot at Mendon, MO. We are breeding for tenderness and marbling. We like the Gelbvieh influence for reproduction and all around mothering ability. We develop the MBA bulls in our small feedlot, along with heifers and some fat cattle. Lincoln Gelbvieh Farm Hill Rd., Linneus, MO (cell) lincoln@grm.net Lincoln Gelbvieh Farm, located 8 miles north of Brookfield, is owned by Richard Lincoln. The 100 head purebred cow herd began in the mid-70s, with the current herd consisting of mostly polled cows with about equal numbers of black and red cows, including several HBHP cows. Emphasis is placed on performance, disposition, calving ease, and carcass quality, with carcass quality receiving special emphasis the past few years.

Lincoln Gelbvieh Farm Hill Rd., Linneus, MO (cell) lincoln@grm.net Richard Lincoln has been raising purebred Gelbvieh cattle since the mid-70s with the current herd consisting of 100 producing females. Emphasis is placed on performance, disposition, calving ease and carcass quality. 1/2 SEMEN INTEREST RETAINED All bull sell with 1/2 semen interest being retained by the consignors. The buyers get full possession and control of the bull and 100% of his salvage value. If in the future semens sales should become a possibility, the consignor has the right to 1/2 of the semen sales revenue. The reason we are retaining interest is that more bulls are being discovered later in life after they prove themselves in the breeding pen. We reserve the right to collect semen at the buyer s convenience for use in our herds or to test semen demand. This is a win-win situation. We expect these bulls to sell for commercial prices, but the buyer could receive substantial premiums if semen demand develops.
