When liquid flows through the pipe, the paddlewheel is set in rotation producing pulses which frequency is proportional to the flowrate. This leads to a very leakproof construction, called the ININE Quarterturn technology. The paddlewheel rotation is detected contactless through the fitting wall. For more information, please refer to EN ISO EN ISO prescribes the straight inlet and outlet distances that must be complied with when installing fittings in pipe lines in order to achieve calm flow conditions. The most important layouts that could lead to turbulence in the flow are shown below, together with the associated prescribed minimum inlet and outlet distances. 3 Installation The flow rate sensor, transmitter can be installed into either horizontal or vertical pipes.
