Important: Please read each step of these instructions carefully prior to commencing installation! Place these instructions in the vehicles glovebox after installation is complete! Important: Do not use this product in any other motor vehicle for which it is not designed. Do not use any other mounting location/method other than described in this instruction. It is advisable to seek assistance of another person when installing this product. Do not repair or modify the Nudge Bar and/or its mounting bracket in any way. Repair or modification may effect proper operation of the airbag resulting in serious injury. Do not remove the label from the Nudge Bar. Stubborn grime can be removed with kerosene. Polished surfaces can be maintained with Autosol metal polish or similar products. Use as recommended. SK580 Page 2 of 7

. Remove the Front Bumper 7mm Socket/Spanner 0mm Socket/Spanner Remove

Remove the scrivets retaining the fender liner to the bumper.

If fitted, unplug the wiring loom from the back of the foglights.

3 . Remove the Front Bumper 7mm Socket/Spanner 0mm Socket/Spanner Remove 6 bolts retaining the lower edge of the front bumper. Figure a: Remove Lower Bolts Remove 2 bolts and 2 scrivets from the top of the grille. Figure b: Detach the Grille c. Remove the scrivets retaining the fender liner to the bumper. Then remove the 2 bolts retaining the bumper to the fender. If fitted, unplug the wiring loom from the back of the foglights. Gently pull each side of the bumper away from the vehiucle and remove the bumper. Figure c: Detach and Remove the Bumper SK580 Page 3 of 7

2. Modify the Crash Attenuator 0mm Socket/Spanner

4 2. Modify the Crash Attenuator 0mm Socket/Spanner Sharp Knife Remove the 2 bolts and 2 scrivets retaining the crash attenuator to the bumper beam. Figure 2a: Remove the Plastic Crash Attenuator Trim 0mm off the depth of the back edges of the plastic crash attenuator, at both ends. Figure 2b: Trim the Crash Attenuator c. This view shows an alternate view of the area of the crash attenuator which needs to be trimmed, in order to re-fit over the top of the Nudge Bar Mounting Brackets. 3. Modify the Lower Grille Sharp Knife Although this trimming operation can be performed without removing the grille

To remove the lower grille, gently pry the 0 clips apart with a flat bladed screwdriver.

Modify the Lower Grille Sharp Knife Although this trimming operation can be performed without removing the grille from the bumper, it is recommended to do so, in order to avoid accidental damage to the bumper paintwork. To remove the lower grille, gently pry the 0 clips apart with a flat bladed screwdriver. Figure 3a: Remove the Grille from the Bumper Trim the lower grille on both sides, as shown. 50mm Figure 3b: Trim the Lower Grille. Remove the Headlamps 0mm Socket/Spanner Remove the plastic trim from underneath each headlamp, by removing the 2 semi-concealed bolts. Then remove each headlamp, by undoing the mounting bolts, and detaching the wiring loom. Figure : Remove the Headlamps SK580 Page 5 of 7

5. Modify the Plastic Splash Guard 2mm Drill Bit + Power Drill Tape Measure 6mm Socket/Spanner 7mm Socket/Spanner Hardware: Mounting Brackets Nudge Bar x M0x30mm Hex Head Bolts x

Figure 5a: Temporarily Fit the Nudge Bar Then fit the Nudge Bar assembly to the vehicle cross- member.

From above, drill holes through the top and middle surfaces of the crossmember.

Modify the Plastic Splash Guard 2mm Drill Bit + Power Drill Tape Measure 6mm Socket/Spanner 7mm Socket/Spanner Hardware: Mounting Brackets Nudge Bar x M0x30mm Hex Head Bolts x M0x30mm Hex Head Bolts 6x M0 Flat Washers 8x M0 Nylock Nuts Using the M0x30mm Hex Bolts, temporarilty (not fully tightened) fit the Mounting Brakets to the Nudge Bar. Figure 5a: Temporarily Fit the Nudge Bar Then fit the Nudge Bar assembly to the vehicle cross- member. Ensuring the Nudge Bar is centred on the vehicle, mark the hole positions, through the Mounting Brackets, on the top and bottom of the vehicle crossmember, then remove the assembly. From above, drill holes through the top and middle surfaces of the crossmember. From below, drill holes through the bottom surface, and continue up through the previous holes, to ensure they are all in alignment. Figure 5b: Mark and Drill Mounting Holes c. Re-fit the Nudge Bar assembly, and permanently fix the Mounting Brackets using the M0x30mm Hex Bolts. Remove the Nudge Bar from the Mounting Brackets. Ensure it does not interfere with the Mounting Brackets (see Figure 2c). Re-fit the headlamps.

7 6. Re-fit the Bumper and Nudge Bar 7mm Socket/Spanner 0mm Socket/Spanner 6mm Socket/Spanner 7mm Socket/Spanner Re-fit the plastic crash attenuator. Ensure it does not interfere with the Mounting Brackets (see Figure 2c). Re-fit the headlamps. Re-fit the bumper bar.
