Important: Please read each step of these instructions carefully prior to commencing installation!! Place these instructions in the vehicles glovebox after installation is complete Important: Do not use this product in any other motor vehicle for which it is not designed. Do not use any other mounting location / method other than described in this instruction. It is advisable to seek assistance of another person when installing this product. Do not repair or modify the Nudge Bar and / or its mounting bracket in any way - repair or modification may effect proper operation of the airbag resulting in serious injury. Do not remove the label from the Nudge Bar. Stubborn grime can be removed with kerosene. R Polished surfaces can be maintained with Autosol metal polish or similar products. Use as recommended. SK57 Page of 5

Remove the plastic splash guards from the underneath of either side of vehicle, by removing the scrivets (use a flat blade screwdriver to lift up centre) and hex head bolts. SCRIVET NOTE: Some models may have splash guards that are attached directly to the bottom edge of the bumper using hex head screws instead of scrivets. For these models step may not be required. PLASTIC SPLASH GUARD Diagram : Removal of Splash Guard. Remove the internal plastic trim and discard. PLASTIC TRIM Diagram : : Removal of Plastic Trim. Cut extensions off metal brackets, and discard (use safety glasses). Ensure sparks from grinder do not go near fuel lines or painted surfaces of vehicle. Touch-up cut edge with suitable paint to minimise corrosion. CUT METAL BRACKET Diagram : Cut and Remove Metal Bracket SK57 Page of 5

4 TOYOTA HILUX - Accessory Part No. NBAR005. For 009 models onwards only: FOR 009 MODELS ONWARDS ONLY Remove grille elements per side of the lower intake grille, as shown. These are the two lowest elements from the rd columns of hexagons in from the LHS and RHS of the lower intake grille. LHS SHOWN CUT EXTENSIONS Diagram : Removing Grille Elements PUSH FORWARD M8x5mm HEX HEAD S LHS UPPER BRACKET 5. Place the upper LHS Upper Bracket against the inside of the chassis rail, with the upper-most mounting leg of the Bracket protruding through the grille. Take one of the C-Brackets and place around the chassis rail, so that the holes align with those on the Bracket. Bolt together using an M8x5mm Hex Head Bolt, x M8 Flat Washers, and M8 Nylock Nut, through each hole. Do not tighten fully. Repeat procedure for the RHS. Diagram 5: Installing Upper Bracket UPPER BRACKET M8 FLAT WASHERS M8x5mm BUTTON HEAD CAP SCREW C-BRACKET M8 FLAT WASHERS. Carefully break the protective packaging on the Nudge Bar to expose the two upper mounting tabs and two lower mounting tabs. Rest the Nudge Bar upper mounting tabs on the tops of the Upper Brackets, and attach using an M8x5mm Button Head Cap Screw, x M8 Flat Washers, and an M8 Nylock Nut for each side. 5 Mx50-.5mm HEX HEAD M SPRING WASHER M FLAT WASHER STEEL SPACER 7. TOYOTA HILUX - Accessory Part No. NBAR005 Attach the lower mounting tabs to the existing holes in the side of the chassis using an Mx50-.5mm Hex Head Bolt, M Spring Washer, M Flat Washer, and Spacer Tube for each side. Note: The steel spacers are to be used in between the Nudge Bar lower mounting tabs, and the vehicle chassis. See Layout diagram on P. Diagram 7: Attach lower mounting tabs to the vehicle chassis UPPER MOUNTING TAB 8. Centre Nudge Bar on vehicle, and tighten bolts in the following order: UPPER BRACKET C-BRACKET () Lower mounting tabs to chassis, () C-Bracket to Upper Bracket Bolts (ensuring Upper Brackets are pushed fully forward against chassis end plate), () Upper Nudge Bar mounting tabs to Upper Brackets.
