Do not use any other mounting location / method other than described in this instruction. It is advisable to seek assistance of another person when installing this product. Do not repair or modify the product and / or its mounting in any way - repair or modification may effect proper operation of the airbag resulting in serious injury. MAINTENANCE To maintain your product properly, wash regularly with car wash detergent, hose off & chamois dry. Stubborn grime can be removed with kerosene. 3 STEP 1 Clean installation area 1. Remove mudflaps if fitted and thoroughly clean & dry the installation area. Repeat process on the other side of the vehicle. STEP 3 Fit bolts and end caps Slide in M8 bolts as per diagram. Fit front and rear end caps to both aluminium extrusions. Endcap Endcap M8 bolts x 8 page 3

4 STEP 4 Install the rubber extrusion Before installing the rubber strip, at one end, peel back approximately 50mm (2 ) of the backing paper and fold at 45º as shown. This section can then be used to secure the rubber strip to the integrated side step during installation in step 8. DO NOT REMOVE THE TAPE LINER COMPLETELY. STEP 5 Press the end of the rubber strip (with backing paper removed) onto the integrated side step extrusion. Push the remainder of the rubber strip down onto the side step. To ensure a good even clamping action is achieved, apply pressure to the reverse side of the rubber strip, pushing it against the aluminium surface of the integrated side step. STEP 6 Remove the backing paper as shown, starting from the previously folded backing paper at one end. Apply firm even pressure to the lower lip of the rubber strip to ensure good adhesion to the integrated side step. Repeat Steps 7-9 for the second extrusion. page 4

5 STEP 7 Tighten fasteners to secure front and rear end caps to extrusion. Tighten M8 nuts firmly with ratchet to secure endcap. STEP 8 Remove front mudflaps Turn the wheel to full lock (right) to allow access to the screws on the front RH mudflap. Remove the front RH mudflap. Turn the wheel to full lock (left) and repeat for LHS mudflap. STEP 9 Remove the rear mudflaps Unscrew the two fasteners and remove the rear RH mudflap. Repeat for LHS. page 5

6 STEP 10 Align the front outer hanger Align centre hole of the front outer hanger with the third plug from the front as shown LHS SHOWN FRONT OF VEHICLE STEP 11 Mark the centres for drilling Mark the centres of the three holes in the front outer hanger. STEP 12 Drill mounting holes for the front outer hanger Drill a 3mm pilot hole at each of the previously marked locations on the pinch weld. Enlarge the 3 holes with a 6mm drill bit. Repeat steps for LHS. Apply rust inhibitor on each drilled hole. page 6

7 STEP 13 Install the front outer hanger Install the front outer hanger to the vehicle by installing 1xM6 bolt, 2xM6 flat washer, 1xM6 spring washer and 1xM6 nut in each hole as shown. Hand tighten only. Repeat for LHS STEP 14 Measure and mark the position of the rear Using a permanent marker and tape measure, make a mark 270mm from the rear end of the pinch weld. STEP 15 Mark and drill 3 holes for rear outer hanger Align the left edge of the outer hanger with the mark and then mark the centres of the three holes. Drill the three holes as per step 12. Repeat steps for LHS. Apply rust inhibitor on each drilled hole. page 7

8 STEP 16 Mount the rear outer support Install the rear outer hanger to the vehicle by installing 1xM6 bolt, 2xM6 flat washer, 1xM6 spring washer and 1xM6 nut in each hole as shown. Hand Tighten only and repeat for LHS. STEP 17 Remove the 2 highlighted bolts on the RHS. Repeat for the LHS STEP 18 Install the front hanger Mount the front hanger by reinstalling the 2 previously removed bolts as shown. Repeat for LHS. page 8

9 STEP 19 Install the front support Install the front support by using 4xM10 bolts, 8xM10 flat washer, 4xM10 spring washers and 4xM10 nuts as shown. Hand tighten only and repeat for LHS. STEP 20 Install the rear inner support T-Bolt. Insert 1xM8 T-Bolt into the highlighted hole in the vehicle chassis (left). STEP 21 Install the rear inner hanger Install the rear inner hanger by fitting 1x M8 flat washer, 1x M8 spring washer and 1x M8 nut to the T-bolt page 9

10 STEP 22 Install the rear support Install the rear support by using 4xM10 bolts, 8xM10 flat washer, 4xM10 spring washers and 4xM10 nuts as shown. Hand tighten only and repeat for LHS. STEP 23 Install the running board Fasten the driver s side side step by installing 4xM8 flat washers, 4xM8 spring washers and 4xM8 hex nuts to the pre-installed M8 bolts as shown. Hand tighten only and repeat for passenger side Side Step. STEP 24 Align the front end cap with the vehicle. Adjust the position of the running board, adjust the front and rear supporting till front end cap perfectly fit the front wheel arch. Reinstall the screw while keeping firm pressure on the end cap to ensure a tight fit with the body. Repeat for LHS. page 10

11 STEP 25 Tighten all hardware Tighten all hardware to the torque specifications below: M6 = 10Nm M8 = 25Nm M10 = 45Nm PRODUCT CARE INFORMATION IMPORTANT: CUT-OUT AND STAPLE IN A SUITABLE LOCATION IN VEHICLE S OWNER MANUAL NISSAN DUALIS INTEGRATED SIDE STEPS APPEARANCE AND PRODUCT CARE: Wash regularly with car wash detergent, rinse with clean water and chamois.
