Milestone Video Management System. Currently we have approx. 100 Cameras during innage and 45 more cameras during outage (mix of SC-384/385 s, IIS P-3 s & ICH-4 s). 40 of those total cameras are analog. Several Axis M-1054 cameras for remote briefings - OPS, SG team and others Just finished installing permanent fiber penetration in each RXB providing 12 pair of SM & 12 pair of MM fiber for use by RP.
VCOM 2 AID s and 5 SIP Devices 6 BTR s in RXB 2 nd floor with ACS-101 feeding 2 sets of ALP-600 s to Basement & 4 th floor 1 BTR in each SFP 1 Crash Cart with computer access, 8 port network switch & 1 BTR
We use Gedds monitoring software with Mirion equipment During innage we have 200 DMC-2000 electronic dosimeters transmitting as ARM s using both WRM2 transmitters and IMUX During outage we add 150 more. 15 ARMED plan views & several WAM 500 area radiation monitors. We have 25 WRM Base Stations throughout the site.

Completely replacing all analog cameras with IP (in 2016 capital budget) Want to add 8-12 cameras for use in each RXB at power (in Eng. Design phase now.. still) Expand camera capability in Aux Bldg, Turbine Bldg (ongoing)
Tie in Motorola radios to VCOM for both RP & Operations (July 2016) Tie in telephone lines with VCOM (July 2016)
Moving to DMC 3000 (June 2017) Add Solar Monitors (2017 deployment) Expand use of IMUX in Aux Bldg (ongoing)
80% of site has fiber infrastructure with a path back to Old RP Bldg Transition to Milestone/VCOM Excellent support from IT and site for Remote Monitoring
Fiber to new RP Bldg Transmitter battery life for ARM s Audio outside RXB Hatch / # of available frequencies Expanded use of technology for Site not just RP. (Problem and success)
SG Management Team was impressed with the results and how we could utilize the system once optimized for Rx. Bldg. SG team issued all of our Support Team Staff a Vocera badge. This included our Decon Staff, Safety Tagging Staff, Work Execution, and Rx. Bldg coordinators a Vocera badge. Direct communication with in the field workers proved vital for improving communications
Discovered that we could reduce the number of runners/communicators during certain job evolutions which reduced exposure and time. Efficiency gains on directly contacting folks to get status updates or provide direction. Nice to not have to remember phone numbers, etc while out in field. We went from two telephones in trailer to approximately 15 Vocera badges which greatly enhanced communication. Liked the messaging feature Really liked potential for tracking location.
Vocera was a great asset in allowing us to save 1 hr of critical path activities while replacing the SG hand hole vent path upon startup. It allowed us to have folks staged and once word was received from OPS that conditions were right for installation, Safety Tagging communication and protection logging could be immediately communicated allowing time savings. Future uses of Vocera is unlimited. - Emergency Planning, OCC, etc
SG Team also had instant communication with RP, what a concept! Even an RP with 43 years in the nuclear business can learn to push a button and talk.
SG Team assisted in getting Permanent Fiber Penetrations installed in all 3 RX Bldg 24 Single Mode and 24 Multimode Fibers Wireless Beltpack Communications Extensive Telemetry on Equipment Multiple Cameras for Equipment Monitoring Remote Monitoring of IP Based Power Supplies Remote Monitoring of IP Based Transfer Power Switches for Nozzle Dams Remote Monitoring of all Ventilation Equipment
Remote Analysis of all Data at our Catawba SG Facility for fleet. Saved training cost, badging cost, $$$. Video Conference Systems SG Offices Remote Monitoring of all Eddy Current Norclean Vac System Equipment. Enhanced Shielding Displays of Dose Rates on Each SG Platform ARMED Dorothy Water Filter System Next Electronic LHRA locks
Norclean Eddy Current Vac System for steam generator eddy current probe scrubbers is routed through a water spray vacuum. Entrained contaminants are then routed through the sump to the liquid Radwaste system. Exhaust filter dose rates went from R/hr to mr/hr.
