The guarantee only refers to the replacement of parts which are recognized to be faulty and therefore the labour and freight costs reimbursement is not included. The guarantee right is lost: - in the event the purchaser carries out arbitrary changes to the original structure of the equipment. - In case you exceed the limit loads reported in the technical data plate. - In case no original spare parts are utilized. 2

A good functioning, a long life as well as a good running of the machine depend upon the observance of the descriptions reported in this handbook. A non-compliance with the descriptions of this handbook, carelessness, a wrong and improper use of the machine can cause a guarantee right loss and furthermore, the expected advantages could not be achieved. Anyway, Roteritalia is at your disposal for assuring an immediate and careful technical service and for doing the best, in order to achieve a perfect functioning and the best efficiency of the machine, as well. The Manufacturer reserves the right to change this issue and its data, in case it would be necessary for a technical or commercial improvement of the product. WARNING WARNING This symbol will always be utilized in this handbook when the persons safety can be in danger, or where the good running of the machine can be jeopardized. Therefore, please, take particular care to the paragraphs containing such symbol. This handbook is an integral part of the machine and therefore it shall always follow the machine, also in case of a move of the Company or in case of a sale to third parties. Before any maintenance procedure, you shall disconnect the tractor, remove the key from the dashboard, lean the machine on the ground and consult the use and maintenance handbook. DANGER SIGNALS 3. Risk of coupling to the cardan shaft. Do not near moving elements. 4. Risk of knocking by the tractor. Do not remain in the area behind the tractor. 5. Risk of falling. Indication, rotating imput at 540 r.p.m. PROPER USE This agricultural machine, called G25 series stones burier, manufactured by Roteritalia, shall only be utilized coupling it up to a tractor (having a suitable power) equipped with power takeoff and having a universal 3-points-linkage. The stones burier shall only be utilized for crumbling grass, sarments and branches. Any other use shall be considered an improper and therefore dangerous use. 4

6 SAFETY RULES AND ACCIDENTS PREVENTION Carefully read all the instructions before using the machine, in case of doubt you shall contact the Manufacturer. Roteritalia disclaims all responsibility in case of non-compliance with the below reported safety and accidents prevention rules. 1. Take care to the danger symbols reported in this booklet and on the machine. 2. Absolutely avoid to touch or to near the moving parts. 3. It is absolutely forbidden to transport persons, things or animals on the machine. 4. All accidents prevention protections recommended in this handbook shall carefully be observed. 5. The labels reporting the instructions, placed on the machine, briefly communicate the necessary advices for avoiding accidents. 6. The limit loads on the tractor axle, the total weight of the machine, the transport rules as well as the rules of the road in force in the user s Country shall be observed. 7. Before starting the work you shall gain a good knowledge of the control devices and/or their functions. 8. Do not steer or go into reverse when the machine is lowered and is running. 9. Use suitable clothes. Absolutely avoid to wear too large clothes or clothes having parts, which could get entangled in the moving elements. 10. Take a great care during the machine coupling stage. 11. While connecting the cardan shaft you shall carefully observe the manufacturer s instructions and the descriptions of the following chapters. 12. The machine shall be equipped with signals and protections for being transported on the road, observing the rules in force in the user s Country. 13. When the tractor is running, never leave the driver s seat and never allow persons or animals to approach. 14. It is very important to consider that the road holding as well as the direction and braking capability can be influenced by the presence of an agricultural machine with its accessories. 15. In case of curves, take care to the centrifugal force of the equipment on the tractor. 16. It is absolutely forbidden to remain in the running area of the machine and of its accessories. 17. The diameter of the machine fixing pins shall be equal to the diameter of the tractor fixing spheres. 18. Take care while working in the lifting arms area, because it is a very dangerous area. 19. Periodically check the tightness of screws and nuts, if necessary, tighten them. 20. Observe the quality of the suggested lubricants. 21. The spare parts shall correspond to the needs determined by the manufacturer. Only use original spare parts. 22. The stickers relating to the safety shall always be clear; they shall always be cleaned and replaced, in case they become not well-readable (you can contact the concessionaire, for requesting them). 23. The handbook containing the instructions for use shall be kept for all the machine life. 5

7 MACHINE LIFTING In case of a machine lifting by a crane or a hoist, above all, assure that the lifting means are suited to the weight to be lifted (check on the table reporting the Technical Data) and in good conditions; the lifting ropes shall be in good conditions, too. Then, fix the machine in the special holes being on the frame, as indicated in the figure 4, using two clevisses having suitable dimensions. FIG. 4 During the lifting stage, never allow the approaching of persons or animals, because there is the risk of squashing the lower limbs. BEFORE USING Important: In case of delivery to a new user, it is important to check the machine according to the following list. 1. Check the tightness of all nuts and bolts. 2. Check the oil level of the gear-box and carter chain. 3. Lubricate all the machine points 4. Check that the tractor P.t.o. functions as per indication on the machine (540 r.p.m.). 5. Check the cardan shaft length. 6. Adjust the stone burier working position, so that the machine can run in a horizontal way, according to figure 6. Such adjustment shall be carried out with the third point B of the tractor, so that the pin is approximately positioned in the middle of the slot, so that, in case of land roughness, the tractor can oscillate, while the stone burier continuous its work in a horizontal way. Insert both parallel tractor A arms in the lower C 3-point connections fig. 5, then fix them using the special D release split pin fig. 5; 3. Connect the third point of the tractor with the 3-points-coupling upper pin, adjusting it for maintaining the stone burier in the position described in the figure 6; 6

8 CARDAN SHAFT As soon as the stones burier is coupled to the tractor, you shall verify the exact length of the cardan shaft. In the event the length is not right, you shall exclusively contact our dealer or service, who will provide replacing it or adjusting the right length with an always CE-marked piece. The angulation the cardan shaft works with shall be as small as possible and preferably, it shall not exceed degrees figure 9, this is an advantage for the shaft and machine life. Always use the original cardan shaft, complete with the relevant safety parts and protections.. VERY IMPORTANT: For the different working positions, the cardan shaft pipes shall be inserted one in each other for at least 200 mm (fig.8 ). - You shall repeat this checking when the stone burier shall be coupled up to another tractor. WARNING: The cardan shaft protections shall always show good conditions and be motionless during the cardan shaft rotations, utilizing the special chains. For your safety, in case the cardan shaft protections are worn, replace them without delay. The safety chains shall not be utilized for supporting the cardan shaft when the machine is running. WARNING: While coupling (inserting) the cardan shaft, assure the correct locking of the special pushbutton on both sides. FIG. 7 FIG. 8 VERY IMPORTANT: every 8 working hours, you shall lubricate the cardan shaft crosses, pumping grease twice. If the cardan shaft shall not function for a certain time, carefully remove the dry grease and repeat the lubrication procedure. NOTE: In case the cardan shaft is not supplied by Roteritalia, you shall utilize a cardan shaft having suitable dimensions (see table) and equipped with CE-mark. Regarding the maintenance, strictly observe the instructions contained in the handbook supplied together with the same cardan shaft. Company roteritalia disclaims all responsibility in case you use cardan shafts not supplied by them. 7

9 TORQUE LIMITER DEVICES Every machine is supplied with the cardan shaft, which is equipped with torque limiting device, for avoiding an overload of equipment or tractor mechanics. Safety element exclusion, replacement or tampering automatically exclude the guarantee right SHEAR BOLT TORQUE LIMITER DEVICE In case of a bolt breakage, replace it with a similar one, (8.8 class) according to the reported table: Model G25 type SB4 Bolt M8 UNI 5737 FF CLUTCH LIMITER DEVICE Clutch torque limiter device is supplied already calibrated by the Manufacturer; in case the clutch slides, it s necessary to reset the original adjustment, positioning the bolts as per the picture on side. X If you screw again half turn and nevertheless the clutch still slides, you shall replace friction disks, contacting the nearest Service Centre. FF Tipo 4 G25 X = 27 SC AUTOMATIC TORQUE LIMITER DEVICE It avoids to exceed the prefixed torque value. When we achieve this value, it breaks power transmission. It s automatic, as it reports the prefixed calibration value for a simple tractor P.t.o. rounds number reduction, resetting the motion transmission. Suggested in case of stony or particularly hard ground. Calibration of the SC automatic torque: Model G25 Type SC 6 for 540 r.p.m Nm 8

10 WORKING DEPTH ADJUSTMENT The working depth is adjusted through the rear roll. The adjustment occurs adjusting the D jack until achieving the wished working procedure. The back levelling roll is equipped with a scraper in order to assure a roll cleaning, at intervals assure that no dirt or stones are between the scraper and the roll. After a roll positions adjustment also adjust the rear levelling blade position using the E jacks on both machine sides. In case of a bigger working depth we find a smaller height of the levelling blade. MAINTENANCE The following procedures shall be carried out every day, in order to keep the machine efficient: Check the tractor parallel blocks, so that they cannot develop transversal oscillations. Check the tightness of all the bolts. Check hoe bolts tightness and assure the hoes are in good conditions; should the latter during the work accidentally break, we suggest to replace them, immediately, see the chapter BLADE REPLACEMENT. BLADES REPLACEMENT We particularly studied the structure of such important tools, in order to allow a perfect, simultaneous crumbling as well as a simple replacement in case of wear. The blade replacement shall be carried out leaning the stones burier on two solid lateral supports in order to avoid sudden tool lowerings; for removing the hoes unscrew the nut using a wrench, then remove the screw, the washer and the hoe to be replaced. END OF THE WORK If the stones burier not run for a long time, it is necessary to carry out the following procedures : A. Carefully wash the stones burier and then dry it. B. Carefully check the functionality level of all the moving parts, particularly the safety protections, replacing the damaged or worn ones. C. Check the tightness of all the bolts. D. Check the all lubricants level. E. Protect and lubricate all non-painted metal parts, then cover the equipment and put it in a dry area, so, it will be ready to be used. F. Check the tools wear level. 9

11 LUBRICATION - After the first 50 working hours, you shall replace the overdrive oil. Provide washing inside the overdrive with kerosene or gas oil. Fill with prescribed oil through the filling up cover hole and assure that the oil reaches the right level, verifying from the special level hole -S-. Then, repeat the above mentioned procedure every 300 working hours. FIG. 9 - Lubricate every 15 working hours the roller supports. - Lubricate every 4 working hours the blades holding rotor supports. - Lubricate every 8 working hours the cardan shaft crosses pumping twice, checking their sliding.
