14 Adjusting Air Distribution: The Procedure The grower selects a fan type that is suited for the tallest canopy system that is going to be treated with the new sprayer from a positive list in the internet. When ordering a sprayer at the dealer, the grower specifies the maximum tree height that is going to be treated with the new sprayer. The manufacturer or dealer deliveres the sprayer with the required working height the grower intends to buy to the test facility. There a) the working height of the sprayer is adjusted to the farm specific tree height and then b) the air stream is straightened to acchieve a rectangular air distribution When the air distribuation has been succesfully adjusted and straightened and the fan has passed the test, flaps and deflection plates are permanently secured. The manufacturer or the dealer deliver the sprayer to the grower. Otherwise the sprayer is returned to the manufacturer and the contract of purchase becomes void. The costs for the adjustment are payed by the manufacturer.
