2 Introductory Speech Soon it will have been 60 years since the founding of PPT Engineering, and as we are approaching this jubilee anniversary, I thought that we deserved a publication of this kind, just like the one that is presented to you now. Many years of successful work in continuity, since the founding of the company till today, entitles us and imposes the obligation upon us to present ourselves in a manner appropriate to solid and stable enterprises. On the basis of this brochure you cannot realize the hard work of all employees during many years, primarily the efforts of engineers who have led Inženjering through turbulent times that are hopefully behind us. Professionalism, persistence, seriousness and modesty are the features that distinguish PPT Inženjering, therefore this brochure has the same character. If you recognize these characteristics in our brochure, then we shall consider that we have successfully accomplished our task and that the brochure has achieved its goal. The selection of reference facilities presented in this brochure depended on several factors, however, we divided them in 6 sections, which is quite a rough division, but also the most closer one to what we have accomplished in the previous 60 years. I also believe that these facilities reflect the above mentioned characteristics of PPT Engineering s operation to the greatest extent. It has been our honour to participate in construction of very complex and important facilities and we are glad that we have justified our participation with our work. Undercarriage of the Jastreb school-combat aircraft 04 Prva petoletka Trstenik Factory, from Trstenik, was founded on 23 March 1949 as a state-owned, military aviation company for production of military aircrafts and components. During the sixties, and till the nineties of the last century, Prva petoletka was strongly developed from a single factory to the industry of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment comprising 16 production units distributed in 10 cities and towns, on the area of approximately 30,000 sq.m of business space, with 3,000 production machines and about 16,000 employees. PPT s products were meeting the requirements of the entire Yugoslav market and the value of its export all over the world amounted to several hundred million dollars per year. At the time of the former Yugoslavia Prva petoletka from Trstenik developed into one of the strongest economic organizations in the country.

7 Prva petoletka Trstenik Panorama of the city of Trstenik with the dominating complex of Prva petoletka Yugoslav subsonic ground attack - bomber Orao (Eagle), whose undercarriage was manufactured in Prva petoletka plants The production program of Prva petoletka started from hydraulic devices for aviation and military equipment and was gradually developed and expanded, to comprise the following: complete hydraulic program (of general and special purpose), shock absorbers, servo controls, braking technology, industrial pneumatic equipment, industrial electronic equipment, sealing and connecting elements, tools and accessories, machines, lubrication technique, cooling and vacuum equipment, spherical plane bearings, designing and engineering. Prva petoletka has developed and manufactured several thousands of various devices and systems that have been applied in various fields of engineering: transportation means (vehicles, ships, airplanes), civil engineering and agricultural machines, industrial and power plants, metallurgy and mining industry, military equipment etc. Prva petoletka is nowadays fighting to survive in such a way that the remaining employees established their privatelyowned company and rented buildings, machines, tools and documentation from the state, and continued to produce the parts for which there is a demand on the market. This unique concept has been producing results so far, which creates the hope that PPT will continue to exist in a certain form. The PPT Namenska factory was exempted from this concept. It operates independently and very successfully within the military industry of Serbia, so it is assumed that it will finally be permanently included in this important strategic and economic complex of Serbian enterprises. 05

8 R&D Works ENGINEERING DESIGNING MANUFACTURING INSTALLATION MAINTENANCE OF MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT AND SPECIAL STEEL STRUCTURES FOR PROJECTS OF HYDRAULIC ENGINEERING STRUCTURES Experience and specialization Trust Hydromontazh JSC (hereinafter - Trust) was founded in 1935 as one of the key founders of hydropower and navigation recourses of former Soviet Union. These resources are still used in Russia, CIS and Baltic countries. No large-scale project of hydraulic engineering structures of former USSR was built without participation of Trust. Currently, Trust is one of the largest Russian engineering holding companies in the field of designing, construction, rehabilitation and technical modernization of power and hydraulic projects of any complexity level and profile. Manufacturing of mechanical equipment and special steel structures Key activities Trust Hydromontazh key activities are designing, manufacturing, installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment and special steel structures for hydropower and nuclear power plants, for water navigation structures as well as for civil construction works at projects of power and transport infrastructure. 06

Licenses and certificates Trust has all necessary licenses and approvals for the right performance of works and supervision of services to operating organizations. Nuclear power Quality management system (QMS)according to ISO 9001is the real basis to confirmation the competence and experience of modern companies, and certification of QMS generally accepted confirmation of stability and improvement of quality of products, works and services. For more than 20 years of cooperation, the Trust hasrepeatedly passed the recertification QMS in thedesigning, production and installation of mechanical equipment and metal structures hydrotechnical constructions of hydroelectric power plants, thermal power plants, atomic power stations taken as a whole of engineering services in TUV NORD SERT. Designing and engineering in PPT Engineering included: systems of mechanization, power transmission, control, inspection and automatic control of machines, facilities and all mobile assets, plants and production processes in all economic sectors. All the above mentioned were constructed, designed, manufactured and delivered both to domestic and foreign purchasers. During its work, PPT Engineering has designed, constructed, produced and commissioned more than 2,500 individual machines, plants, facilities, systems or installations for control, mechanization and automation, applicable in all economic sectors. Owing to the accumulated professional knowledge and experience in its program area, as well as to the very solid business reputation gained on the domestic and world market, PPT Engineeringwas constantly keeping pace with competition and successfully cooperating with other companies in the world. After 52 years of a very prolific work within Prva petoletka Trstenik, 11

14 PPT Engineering was privatized by the state and since the end of 2010 it has continued its operation within the Trust Hydromontazh (Trest Gidromontaž) company from Moscow. They perform their operations with the same program and the same success, by the same experienced professional staff which has been rejuvenated in the meantime. In addition to products of the most renowned world companies, PPT Engineering still uses products of Prva petoletka in its projects, thus supporting the survival of the former economic giant. There are numerous references of completed jobs, both within the scope of work in Prva petoletka and in the Moscow company Trust Hydromontazh, as can be seen in this brochure. 16 Immediately after its establishment, within the planned socialist economy in the former Yugoslavia, PPT Engineering was included in designing, manufacturing and commissioning of electro-hydraulic systems for gates on the HEPP Bajina Bašta, After this project, the most significant engagement of PPT Inženjering in the field of power engineering ensued, at the HEPP Djerdap 1 and 2, which was the crucial reason why the program of electro-hydraulic drive systems for hydro-mechanical equipment became the essential and the most important program of PPT Engineering operations. The experience gained in HEPP Djerdap 1 and 2, working together with partners from the USSR (later Russia), resulted in the intensive presence of PPT Engineering on the Russian market since 2000 and in the significant increase of business volume. The organizational change in 2011 and presence on the vast territory of Russia, comprising numerous specific requirements for electro-hydraulic drive systems applied on hydro-mechanical equipment on intake structures and spillway bays of hydroelectric power plants, made it possible for PPT Engineering to be ranked and formed as a highly-specialized company for this type of electrohydraulic systems in Europe. By controlling movement of gates, electrohydraulic systems control the water inflow to the turbine of the hydroelectric power plant, or stop it instantaneously in case of damage, and therefore it is essential to provide a high level of operation reliability of the system. It is particularly important that PPT Engineering has preserved production resources of PPT for large cylinders, having diameters up to 500 mm and stroke up to 10,000 mm. 28 The dams for water accumulation are intended to provide raw water to downstream consumers for plants for preparation of drinking water, agricultural irrigation and biological minimum. Following hydro-mechanical equipment is installed for regulation of water level in reservoirs: Gates on spillways Water intake gates Base discharge gates Measuring-regulation equipment Electro-hydraulic systems are used for gate drive in accordance with strict environmental requirements. Designing and manufacturing of electro-hydraulic systems in the area of water management - on dams for reservoirs, as well as on ship locks being the accompanying facilities, is the important segment of PPT Inženjering activities. Hydro-system Ibar-Lepenac, Gazivode and Pridvorice dams; Al Ibitisam, Beni Amrane and Hammam Miskhoutine dams in Algeria; the Agios Dimitrios dam and the Evinos-Mornos tunnel in Greece are specific projects connected with water supply. Due to presence of methane, the Agios Dimitris tunnel required adequately protected hydraulic systems, the dams in Algeria had a double purpose - accumulation for irrigation purposes and accumulation for hydroelectric power plant. The dam Bashkiriya in Russia and the ship lock Krasnogorsk are just some of the latest references of PPT Engineering in this field. The cooperation with the SSM company from Volgograd unified designing of hydraulic systems for gates on reservoirs and locks, which resulted in special requirements for integral control of electrohydraulic systems. This particularly refers to ship locks on the Volga-Don canal - Lock number 7, four locks on the Volga, Gorodec (Nizhny Novgorod) and within the scope of reconstruction of hydromechanical equipment for five double hooked spillway gates drive together with the fish path on the Krasnodarsk reservoir in Russia for irrigation of wheat fields in Kubansk district. 40 PPT Engineering company has been designing and developing the program of electro-hydraulic systems in metallurgy ever since 1976, practically since its founding. Since then, until the present day, the company has been constantly improving its design solutions in order to bring them into line with the latest requirements of technology, quality and reliability. Manufacturing of electro-hydraulic systems for process equipment for production of coke in metallurgical plants is the most important segment of PPT Engineering s presence in metallurgy. Electro-hydraulic systems for coke machines are designed to provide sequential movement of mechanisms on pertaining machines during one work cycle on a coke battery. The task is accurate positioning of cylinders as actuation elements of mechanisms, which are designed for large external loads. The specific feature of electro-hydraulic systems for coke equipment is 20 to 25 individual actuation systems on one machine with central hydraulic suplly, whereby the desired flow and pressure, being the basic parameters of actuation systems, are provided for each mechanism. Electro-hydraulic systems are installed in the following plants: In cold and hot rolling mills for production and transport of sheet metal, profiles, wire, rods, beams, pipes, elbows etc. (furnaces, traction benches for pipes, winders, shears, presses...) For blast furnace serving (drilling machine, manipulator and hydrostatic clay gun) For serving in coke ovens (dosing coaches, coke pusher cars, door extractors, coke guide cars and coke quenching cars and locomotive for hauling wagons for coke quenching) Some of the most importand references are: Manufacturing of hydraulic blocks for Dave McKoy company, for the requirements of Železara (Ironworks) Smederevo Manufacturing of complete hydraulic system for roll stand no. 6 of Železara Smederevo, according to the documentation of the SMS company from Germany and under its supervision. The latest reference of PPT Engineering in the field of metallurgy is for the buyer in Germany, DHMS from Dortmund, where PPT Engineering designed and manufactured electro-hydraulic drive and control systems for the drilling machine, hydrostatic clay gun and manipulator, the end user of the equipment is the Ironworks Ilva in Taranto, Italy. 52 Since its establishment till nowadays, PPT Engineering has realized numerous electrohydraulic and electro-pneumatic systems in the area of civil engineering, such as heavy load lifting systems, sliding casings (silos and columns by means of especially constructed so called monkey hydraulic cranes, telescopic tunnel casings, tilting and unloading platforms, hydraulic freight and passenger elevators, opening of extremely heavy doors (for caponiers), pneumatic systems for opening windows, doors and gates. For lifting heavy loads to certain levels, in civil engineering, electro hydraulic systems of PPT Engineering have been applied. The examples for this use are raising of the concrete structure for the sports hall in Majdanpek (RS) and raising of the dome of the Saint Sava Temple in Vračar in Belgrade. The dome weighing 4,000 tons, dia. 40 meters, height 27 meters, was raised to the level of 43 meters, by using 16 hydraulic cylinders (manufactured by PPT) and manipulators for reinforced concrete slabs planting. This construction project which is unique in the world was accomplished by using special computer control system, synchronizing strokes of all 16 cylinders, whereby the horizontal position of the dome was maintained with the accuracy of 5 mm. Presence of PPT Engineering in civil engineering included elaboration of the main mechanical project of stage equipment in the National Theatre in Belgrade (with installation and putting into operation), then hydraulic telescopic casing for concreting of the Shargan tunnel in Serbia and hydraulic tunnel casing used for construction of the subway in Almata in Kazahstan. 56 OTHER FI Electro-hydraulic systems designed and commissioned by PPT Engineering have been implemented in other industries as well. In process industry PPT Engineering is present in sugar processing technology from the beginning when sugar beet is delivered to the factory, up to the final technological cycles, before crystal sugar is obtained. In October 2006 the project contracted with Zammit group company from Malta was completed - delivery and installation of equipment for electro-hydraulic system for raising and lowering of oil platform for shallow seas up to 20 meters deep, weighing 2,500 tons, to the level of five meters (maximum seven meters) above the water surface (the total raising stroke is 25 meters). For pulling out of ships for overhauling purpose, the electro-hydraulic system for winches on steep slipway on the Danube, shipyard in Kladovo, was designed, delivered, installed and commissioned. The steep slipway is provided with hydraulic drive and winch control, whose synchronization prevents tilting of ships. This electro-hydraulic system on a slipway is specific in realization of winch drive by means of 10 hydraulic cylinders, playing the role of hydromotors. For this specific case a rotating distributor was specially designed to synchronize operation of cylinders during rotation of winches whereby large torque and small winch rotation speed are achieved. The electro-hydraulic system was designed for the needs of the thermal power plant Morava in Svilajnac, for the purpose of unloading of coal from standard wagons in TPP Morava, by rotating wagons by 180 degrees, as well as the complete central greasing system. Within the auxiliary hydro-mechanical equipment, PPT Engineering has manufactured a series of electrohydraulic devices for static and dynamic testing of cranes, so-called nagružatelji, according to GOST standards applicable in Russia. Hydraulic systems for grabs on HEPP Djerdap serving for cleaning of turbine screens have also been delivered. If a turbine screen is not vertical, PPT Engineering has a solution for a grab with a movement mechanism on the screen, designed for the dam Tis Abay II in Ethiopia. PPT Engineering has also implemented several projects for drive of hydraulic presses and shears, scissor lift and telescopic platforms, numerous various hydraulic drives for control of latches, steering valves etc. in thermal power plants, cement plants, petrochemical combines.
