SCOPE OF SURVEY: Acting upon request by Mr. Brad Morford, the undersigned surveyor did attend onboard the 31 Southern Cross Ragman, on March 4, An out of the water Condition & Valuation Survey was conducted onboard the subject vessel while resting on blocks and stands at Indiantown Marina in Indiantown, FL. The ship s papers were onboard and appeared to be in proper order. A sea-trial not requested nor conducted. The reason for the survey was to ascertain the physical condition and place a fair market value on the subject vessel. This inspection and report were conducted for insurance purposes only and does not contain the necessary information for pre purchase considerations. REGISTERED USE: Recreational. Page 2 of 12

3 CURRENT VALUE(ACV): $ 46,254.00, USD in current condition. GENERAL CONDITION, INSURANCE RISK: Good, when recommendations are accomplished. This report should be considered as an entire document. No single section shall be used except as part of the whole. It is current to the named client, underwriters, or lenders for 30 days of undisturbed lay-up or the vessel s first voyage. PROPULSION MACHINERY, AUXILLARY: No certified or factory engine surveyor was present. One inline fresh-water cooled diesel engine manufactured by Yanmar. YEAR: Unknown. MODEL # 3GMD SERIAL #: Gauges mounted in cockpit for tachometer. Engine mounts are adjustable vibration isolators bolted to FRP longitudinals, all in good condition. SEA STRAINER: One canister type sea strainer. See recommendations. FUEL FILTER: Two Racor FG500 filters secured in engine compartment. Page 3 of 12

SUPERSTRUCTURE: Appears to be solid with no visible damage or prior repairs observed. COMPARTMENT BULKHEADS: All accessible bulkheads appear to be solid no visible damage or prior repairs observed. 6 SAILS/RIGGING: SAILS: Eight sails reportedly onboard but were not closely inspected. Consider inspection by sail maker. ROLLER FURLING: Profurl, appears solid. RIGGING: Visually inspected from deck level. Visually appears to be in good condition. CHAIN PLATES: Appear solid and sufficient. WINCHES: Appear solid. LIFELINES/RAILS: Lines and rails surround entire vessel. STANCHIONS: Stanchions appear solid and sufficient. SPAR: One aluminum mast, appears solid and appears to be in overall good condition. 7 BILGE DRAINAGE: One 12-volt bilge pump located in keel bilge. One manual bilge pump is onboard and operated aft. BILGE CLEANLINESS: Clean & dry. GROUND TACKLE: PRIMARY ANCHOR: CQR anchor on stem roller with chain rode. SECONDARY ANCHOR: Plow anchor on stem roller with chain rode.. WINDLASS: Lofrans Royal on foredeck. FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT: PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: Two USCG type B-1 portable extinguishers onboard, which are located throughout vessel. Page 7 of 12

8 DECK HARDWARE: Deck hardware and mooring equipment appear adequate. OTHER REQUIRED ITEM(s): FEDERAL POLLUTION PLACARD: onboard MARPOL TRASH PLACARD: onboard ELECTRONICS and NAVIGATION: Did not operate electronics, unless noted. VHF RADIO # 1: Standard Horizon Intrepid W/ RAM Mic. SSB: Icom IC-M710. GPS: Garmin GPS Map 492. AUTOPILOT: Simrad TP 30. DEPTH INDICATOR: Horizon digital. SPEED INDICATOR: Horizon digital. 9 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: The DC system is 12-volt and appears in very good condition. The batteries are properly secured and covered. Battery cables are AWG # 4/0 with one vapor proof disconnect switch. DC system protection is by breakers. The AC system is 110-volt and is protected by breakers. No polarity indicator onboard. BATTERY CHARGER: Xantrex Tru Charge 10TB. WIND GENERATOR: OneAir Marine 403 three blade wind generator. SOLAR: One Kyocera 80-watt solar panel mounted on aft bracket. HEAD(s): One manual flush, raw water flush toilet with discharge overboard or via Lectra San. Page 9 of 12

10 GALLEY: STOVE: Hillerange 2-burner LPG stove with oven. LPG tanks mounted in cockpit locker w/ solenoid switch. SINK: Stainless steel model with hot & cold water on demand via 12-volt pump or hand pump.. FRIDGE/FREEZER: Icebox type unit with 12-volt cooling plate onboard. SAFETY EQUIPMENT: PFD S: Two type I,II & III PFD s, Two type IV was/were onboard. FLARES (VDS): One set USCG approved signals onboard. NAVIGATION LIGHTS: Proper for this size and type vessel. RECOMMENDATION(s): 1. Sea water strainer shows moderate corrosion. Remove corrosion. 2. No compass deviation table was located onboard. 3. Yanmar alternator belt is loose. 4. Yanmar raw water pump belt is loose. 5. Upper engine box insulation loose. Secure to prevent fouling of engine. 6. Fire Extinguishers are not currently inspected and tagged as per NFPA guidelines. CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTION SYSTEM: 1. Carbon Monoxide Detectors Suggested: This vessel uses fossil fuel for propulsion. During the burning of any of this fuel Carbon Monoxide (CO) gas may be created due to incomplete combustion. Adequate ventilation must be provided at all times while burning this fuel, but CO may also be drawn into the cabin through ventilation systems. CO is a silent menace and kills without warning, therefore this surveyor strongly recommends installation of a UL Marine Listed CO detector in any occupied spaces below deck. 11 This survey checks for compliance with U.S. Coast Guard, American Boat and Yacht Council, Underwriters Laboratory, and National Fire Protection Association standards and practices. It does not cover possible latent defects which could not readily be discovered by inspection without removal of machinery, tanks, sheathing, joinerwork, upholstery, bulkheads, ceiling, fascia, fiberglass or metal covering, fasteners, or other fixed material, disassembly of machinery, plumbing, wiring, or other parts, components or systems. Unless specifically stated, no test borings have been made, and no destructive or invasive testing has been performed. The undersigned has conducted this survey and issued this report for the sole use of the specified party requesting party for an agreed fee based upon the intended use of the report and the legal liability of the undersigned; accordingly, others are not to use this report and not rely upon the contents of this report without payment to the undersigned of an additional agreed fee based upon reevaluation of the same factors. The recommendations, judgments, and conclusions expressed herein represent the opinion of the undersigned surveyor who has exercised reasonable care in conducting a routine visual marine survey of the subject vessel. This report contains opinion and observations based on my skill, experience and training as a marine surveyor and consultant. Under no circumstances shall this report be understood to constitute a representation, guarantee, or warranty, expressed or implied, of any kind as to the condition or soundness of the subject vessel, its hull, engines, machinery equipment or systems or any part of appurtenances thereof, or the cost of effecting any repairs or modifications.
