Marine Surveyors Surveyors Notes for Vessel: Happy Ours BC north harbour, Powell River, BC June 04/2012 Vessel Happy Ours, ON: BC , is a Bayliner 3485 Avanti Express, which was built in 1997 and bears the following dimensions: Length overall 32 6 with a beam of 11 and an approximate draft of 3. Vessel is powered by twin Cummins 6BTA5.9M2 diesel engines with V-drives and is fitted with two sets of enclosed cable controls with two station helm pump hydraulic steering. Survey carried out with vessel afloat at the north harbour, Powell River, BC, with details received from owner following survey. Sea trials, core drilling and mechanical removals were not carried out at time of survey. HULL: Hull of molded fiberglass with molded fiberglass weather decks and superstructure set over hull and through fastened at sheer line. Vessel afloat at time of survey and no opinion expressed on underwater portion of vessel with above water portion appearing good with no evidence of major dockside wear or damage and no evidence of prior repairs noted. Weather decks and superstructure appear in good condition throughout, all glass good, and overall, vessel exterior appears in very good condition, clean and well maintained. Command bridge entered and found to be good, upholstery good, and overall, all aspects of top station good with canvas good throughout. Aft deck examined and found to be good with no evidence of impact or delamination noted and all areas show little evidence of wear. Cabin entered and found to be in good condition, with all upholstery good and little evidence of wear noted throughout. During course of survey of vessel interior, bilges were examined and all bilges found to be in good condition with evidence of minor fouling noted. PROPELLING MACHINERY: Vessel is powered by twin Cummins 6BTA5.9M2 six-cylinder turbo after-cooled diesel engines, which deliver approximately 250 horsepower each through V-drives with Hurth 630V gears in place. Engine hours indicated by panel meters at 2926 on port engine and 2777 on stbd. engine, with engines appearing in good condition, clean and well maintained with no evidence of exhaust or major oil leakage noted. Vessel is fitted with two station bright-finished two lever enclosed cable engine controls at top station and wheelhouse as well as two station Hynautic helm pump hydraulic steering, again at top station and wheelhouse. Vessel is fitted with 1½ Aquamet shafts with propellers not viewed at time of survey. Engines are cooled via heat exchangers with exhaust routing port and stbd. sides aft and no evidence of exhaust leakage noted. ELECTRICAL: Vessel is fitted with a 1500 watt Trace DR Series inverter/charger as well as 12 volt alternators, which are belt-driven off main engines. Fischer Panda 5 kilowatt gen. set in place with separate starting battery for gen. set. Main starting batteries in the form of two 8-D batteries as well as Nautilus gen. set starting. All batteries are clean, covered, and secured from movement with no evidence of excess heat or corrosion. Wiring is of plastic on copper with plug-in fuses and 110 volt panels with switched breakers. During course of survey of vessel wiring, no evidence of heat or corrosion noted and overall, vessel wiring appears in good condition with no evidence of heat or corrosion.
