11 PERFORMANCES OPTIMISATION OF STM REGULAR BUSES The original hydraulic cooling fans have been replace by electric fans on more than 230 buses A new software has been deployed to better control the electronic transmissions of STM buses RESULTS $ of investment 31 % combined fuel economy More than 2,3M liters of biodiesel saved each year On the residual life time of the modified buses, More than 60M$ of economy More than tons of GHG will be avoided 11
