4 Supportive Provincial and Federal Action Alberta Climate Leadership Plan Pollution from coal-fired electricity generation will be phased out by 2030 under the Climate Leadership Plan. 30% of Alberta s electricity will come from renewable sources such as wind, hydro and solar by Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change...develop a Canada-wide strategy for zero-emission vehicles by 2018 and...accelerate demonstration and deployment of infrastructure to support zero-emission vehicles, such as electric-charging stations 4

8 City Actions to Date E-bus feasibility study conducted summer to fall 2014 and winter 2016, Up to 40 electric buses to be procured over next 2 years, Four EV charging stations at two City libraries. 8

23 Smart Transportation Action Plan Actions to prepare for and advance emerging transportation technologies - connectivity, autonomy, shared mobility and electrification. EV Strategy work will be integrated into this Plan. 23
