Many people believe that the technical development is faster than one can imagine, but what about the users acceptance and what about the legal and economic conditions? In this 3rd Congress on the Future of Autonomous Driving within Public Transport we go into detail with the perspectives and strategies of the public transport sector and its partners, e.g. insurance companies. We discuss the legal and technical conditions, which also includes the necessary infrastructure, with you, federal and municipal representatives as well as scientists on the basis of various business models. In a key-note the automotive industry tells us what will remain fiction and what might become reality. Which kinds of vehicle can we operate in the time slot that might remain for public transport to operate autonomous shuttles in delimited areas on monitored routes? Which experience has the public transport sector already gained with suppliers and manufacturers during tendering procedures? A main topic at the event will be the experience and latest findings gathered in numerous national and international projects with autonomous vehicles within public transport and rail freight transport.
