1 Unique linear chain extenders for PA/PET/PBT/PLA, increases molecular weight (MW), hydrostabilises and produces high performance end product without the need for solid state post condensation (SSPC) with tumble-dryers A portfolio of fast-acting linear chain extenders (ALLINCO TM ) which allows exceptional control over the viscosity of polyamides (PA), Poly Lactic Acid (PLA), PolyButylene Terephthalate (PBT) and PolyEthylene Terephthalate (PET), increasing the MW, creating long linear chains resulting in highly flexible and high performing endproducts. ALLINCO TM are the only linear chain extenders available and improve strength by increasing molecular length, their unique properties making them suitable for applications such as high tenacity yarns, monofilaments, strapping, and other applications that require particular strength. (Other extenders are branch extenders, which provide multidirectional strength, but which can clog extruders). ALLINCO TM is faster, more flexible than alternatives and can be dosed in-line. Therefore providing a cheaper and quicker alternative to solid state post condensation (SSPC) by tumble drying for producing linear, long chain polymers. The upfront equipment costs of tumble drying are eliminated and the costs of the raw materials are lowered as ALLINCO TM enables the use of recycled, lower grade raw materials whilst providing a high performing end product. ALLINCO TM compensates for less expensive, lowergrade or recycled materials and compensates for the inevitable process degradation in higher-grade materials. Also included in the portfolio is a product that not only provides linear extension but also increases hydrolytic stability. The ALLINCO TM extenders do not mutually react, and so can be used together to achieve specific results providing flexibility in end product types and properties. The ALLINCO TM products do not react mutually and can be used with each other to multiply the number of polymer end groups that can connect. ALLINCO TM CBC :Commercially available, fully developed, linear chain extender for PA, PBT and for certain PET applications. Only linear chain extender on the market. Produces high molecular weight. Treats dry pellets in an extrusion step; dosed in-line. Applicable to yarns, strapping, monofilaments, recycling. Non-toxic, non-irritating, non-sensitizing, not mutagenic. It is biodegradable, non-flammable, not an oxidizer, and is EU food-contact-approved for PET applications. Chain-extended polymers need no registration, there is less than 2% ALLINCO TM in it. Fast reaction for PA. Couples two amine groups or two hydroxyl groups. Also useful in PET applications such as spinning. Some captrolactam is released. ALLINCO TM CBC can also be used as a coupling agent or compatibiliser. Enabling multi layers of PA and PET or fillers e.g. linkable HALS giving PA a higher melt stability, good dye-ability and good UV resistance. ALLINCO TM PBOX:Shown to be a very effective, fast reacting (faster than ALLINCO TM CBC) chain extender andacid scavenger that works well for PA, PET, PBT and PLA. PET degrades in a humid environment. ALLINCO TM PBOX can increase hydrolytic stability and linear strength at the same time. Non-toxic. Works with carboxyl end groups, reacts even faster than ALLINCO CBC, and produces no volatiles. ALLINCO TM PBO:Linear chain extender for PA, PBT and PET. Couples two carboxyl groups. Less effective than ALLINCO TM CBC and ALLINCO TM PBOX. Can be used in combination with ALLINCO CBC to get even more chain extension than only from ALLINCO TM CBC or ALLINCO TM PBO separately or the sum of the effects. ALLINCO TM PMOX:Offers hydrolytic stabilizing for PET, PBT, PLA, PA and possibly other plastics without the effect of chain extension. Technology Differentiation and Uniqueness ALLINCO TM CBC :Unique linear chain extender (other extenders are branch extenders). ALLINCO TM CBC eliminates the need for solid state post condensation and thus expensive tumble-dry equipment. While tumble drying may offer (theoretical) flexibility in product grades, it is expensive, requires small batches, requires high investment and capital costs, incurs high operational costs, and it is slow. ALLINCO TM CBC and ALLINCO TM PBO products can be combined to multiply the number of end groups available for connecting, thus ensuring that molecular chains are even longer and the molecular weight is even higher. ALLINCO TM CBC chain extender works with dry material (pellets). It is fast (less than a minute processing in a twin screw extruder for PA), requires a much lower level of investment, less capital costs, imposes no capacity limits, requires no extra processing, and it is cheaper than using a tumble dryer.

2 ALLINCO TM CBC with ALLINCO TM PBO combined achieves higher molecular weights than other processes. ALLINCO TM CBC is non-toxic, non-irritating, not sensitizing, not mutagenic; it is biodegradable, not bioaccumulative, not flammable, not an oxidizer, and is EU food-contact approved in PET for bottles, films, and similar articles. The concentration of ALLINCO TM CBC or ALLINCO TM PBO is always < 2 wt.%, so chainextended polymers need no registration. ALLINCO TM PBOX:Linear chain extender for PA, PET PBT and PLA that acts as a hydrolytic stabilizer ( acid scavenger) aswell. Non-toxic (presumed); less expensive than alternatives. Hydrolytic stabilizing is an acknowledged market need for many plastics and more specifically PET. Among acid scavengers, ALLINCO TM PBOX is the most effective. ALLINCO TM CBC works well to produce high molecular weight PA, and includes the ability to upgrade recycled PA. Currently, the molecular weight of PA is increased through Solid State Post-Condensation (SSP) procedures. However, such procedures produce their long chains over a long processing time. Two types of processes are used: tumble dryers, which provide batch flexibility but which are also expensive and slow; and continuous SSP, which requires high investment, large scale applications, and virgin PA and PET grades. ALLINCO TM CBC offers great flexibility and at lower costs than tumble drying. It produces long chains in a short time (in about 1 minute for PA in an extrusion process). It is cost competitive with tumble drying, but works only with dry materials. (PA water content less than 500ppm and PET water content less than 50ppm). ALLINCO TM CBC is non-toxic, non-irritating, not sensitizing, not mutagenic; it is biodegradable, not bio-accumulative, not flammable, not an oxidizer, and is
