2 Product description 1- Plate Heat Exchangers with tightening bolts (63 types) Material for covers: S355J2G3 according to EN10025 and P355GH according to EN Corrosion allowance: 1 mm 2- Two types of Plate and Shell heat exchanger with welded end cover in one side and bolted cover on the other side (Types: SPS072 & SPS 179 IS). Manufacturer of Class I & II heat exchanger with welded end covers (Types SPS072 & SPS 179 IS) shall have valid AOM certificate (See DNV GL Rules Pt.4 Ch.7 Sec.7 clause 1.1.1). The gasket material shall fulfil the requirements in SIS Haandbog 149 for the media in question. The plate material shall fulfil the requirement in Corrosion table published by Jernkontoret 1979 or similar corrosion standards. SW59-IS, SW26-IS and SW40a-IS have a minimum working temperature of -40ºC with head and follower material S355NL. These 3 types are also approved for ammonia as operating media. SPS 072 IS minimum and maximum design temperatures are respectively -2.5 C / 110 C. SPS 179 IS minimum and maximum design temperatures are respectively --10 C / 250 C Steel components in direct contact with seawater shall be protected against corrosion. Traditional stainless steels, grades 304, 304L, 316 & 316L, shall not be considered seawater resistant. 5 EPDM may not be used in vessels intended for lubrication oil. Each heat exchanger is to be: Hydraulic pressure tested to minimum 1.5 x design pressure. The hydraulic pressure test is to include a differential pressure test between the chambers; each chamber is to be pressure tested. SPS 179 IS PN Marking of product For traceability to this Type Approval the products should at least be marked with (on permanently attached stainless steel nameplate): - the name and domicile of the manufacturer - the manufacturer's type designation and serial number - the year of manufacture - the design pressure - the design temperature (s) in C - the hydraulic test pressure - DNV GL's identifying mark. Periodical assessment For renewal of TA certificate periodical assessment shall be done by DNV GL surveyor to verify that the conditions for the TA are not altered since the certificate was issued.
