The first use. 2. The first high load journey after the wheels has been fitted. 3. The first 1000 km. 4. Every 1 month or 10,000 Km Tighten wheel nuts diagonally using a torque wrench to the specified tightening torque shown in Table 1 & Table 2 below. Note that wheel contact surfaces should not have additional coats of paint as this increases the risk of the wheels becoming detached. The torque values shown below can be achieved using a normal wheel nut spanner and a length of tubing as shown in the image above. Distag QCS recommend the use of wheel nut indictors to insure wheel security. 1.A.5

7 Hollow Welding Requirement Technical As most of the load on the axle beam is positioned at the location of the spring seats, this is the position where the axle beam will be under the most stress. Therefore the welding requirement at this location is extremely important to insure no negative effect on the axle ability. To avoid bearing damage during welding, it is prohibited to weld the spring seats with the earth cable connected to the brake system. KG No welding permitted, including spot welding on this beam face. Insure saddle plates are positioned flat on beam with no spaces. Min: 60mm Welding permitted.
