A section of plywood was knocked out of a rear window. R/P who works for Management Company was on scene and discovered the home was broken into. R/P states the home was last checked on 11/16/2016. Home Invasion occurred sometime between that date and 12/10/2016. Suspect cut several pieces of copper piping from the basement area around the water heater and furnace. Suspect also damaged and stole parts from the air-conditioning unit outside the home.
3 12/17/2016 2:02pm Inkster Rd. Front door was pried open. R/p landlord for residence came to plow snow from the driveway. R/P discovered Home Invasion and notified Police and tenant. The residence was ransacked. It appears that one painting and two sets of golf clubs were taken from the residence. Two TV s had been moved and staged to take but for some reason they were left behind. The vehicle was parked at victims Apartment Complex. 12/13/ :33am Saratoga St. (Residential- Condo s) Status A Attempt Auto Theft Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model TRAILBLAZER Color SIL - Silver or Aluminum Vehicle Year 2007 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI Description Silver 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer Victim states sometime between 12:00pm and the following morning at 8:50am someone attempted to steal his vehicle. The ignition was damaged. Vehicle was parked in front of victims unit at her Condo Complex.
5 From: 12/12/2016 6:00am To: 12/14/ :00am Westover Ave. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer FORD Model F150 Color GLD - Gold Vehicle Year 1999 Body Style PK - Pickup Truck State MI License Year 2017 Description FORD F150 Victim came into the front desk to report that sometime between 6:00am and 10:00am someone stole his Gold 1999 Ford F150 Pick Up Truck out of his driveway. No suspect information. 12/15/2016 3:01pm Southfield Rd. Status A Attempt Auto Theft Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model TRAILBLAZER Color MAR - Maroon or Burgundy Vehicle Year 2006 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI Description BURGUNDY 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER Victim states sometime between 12/09/2016 and 12/15/2016 someone attempted to steal his 2006 Maroon Chevy Trail Blazer. The vehicle sustained door lock damage and ignition damage during the attempted theft. The driver s door lock was broken, and the ignition was damaged to the point the vehicle couldn t be started.

Notes 159,000 miles, grey interior color. Victim states his 2000 Burgundy Chevy Silverado extended cab with a snow plow was stolen from his Apartment Complex sometime between 6:00am- 7:00pm.

Status S - Stolen Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model TRAILBLAZER Color SIL - Silver or Aluminum Vehicle Year 2008 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2016 Description 2008 Silver Chevy Trailblazer Victim states he was in his apartment around 3:10am when he heard a car alarm go off. Victim looked out the window and saw his Silver 2008 Chevy Trailblazer drive out of the apartment complex followed closely by a Gray Mini Van (Possibly a Plymouth). Victim last saw his vehicle and the Mini Van headed S/B Providence Dr. towards 9 Mile Rd. 12/18/ :00pm Coach Light Dr. Status A Attempt Auto Theft Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model TRAILBLAZER Color GRY - Gray Vehicle Year 2008 Body Style State MI Description ATTEMPT STOLEN VEHICLE Victim states sometime between 8:00pm and the following day at 12:00pm someone attempted to steal her vehicle. The vehicles driver s door lock and ignition both were damaged. The incident occurred at victims Apartment Complex.

Status S - Stolen Manufacturer GMC Model Envoy Color BLU - Blue Vehicle Year 2004 Body Style SW - Station Wagon State MI License Year 2017 Description GMC Envoy Blue 2004 Victim states sometime between 7:30pm and the following day at 2:00pm someone stole her 2004 GMC Envoy from her carport at her Apartment Complex. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices
9 Larceny: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details From: 12/12/2016 7:15am To: 12/12/ :15am 12/13/2016 4:30am Town Ctr. (Commercial- Office Center) Wellington Ct. All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2016 Dodge Charger. Attempt to take Wheels & Tires from victim s vehicle. Victim states he parked and locked his vehicle on the 3rd floor of the Office Complex Parking Structure at 7:15am this date. Victim reports at 11:15am he was going out for lunch when he discovered All Four Wheels & Tires missing from his vehicle. Cinder blocks were used to support the passenger and drivers side of vehicle so suspect/s could tilt the front and rear in order to remove the Wheels & Tires. Victim stated he heard some commotion outside his apartment around 4:00am when he looked outside he saw two dark colored older model mini vans leave the area. Victim stated he didn't think anything of it until he heard the commotion outside again and saw the same two mini vans speed away. Victim went outside and noticed two lug nuts lying on each side of the front tires and called the police. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens that hear noises outside their apartment or residence during the late night or early morning hours should discreetly look outside to see what the source of the noise is. If observing suspicious activity especially involving Dodge or Chrysler Mini Vans which are commonly used by suspects that are stealing Wheels & Tires from vehicles should immediately call 911 and stay on

Officers located the owner of the vehicle and advised him of incident. The owner advises that incident occurred sometime between 12:30am- 4:19am. Officers were on patrol at Apartment Complex when they came across vehicle that had a window broken out and All Four Wheels & Tires had been taken. The owner of the vehicle had just come out and discovered LFA as well. 12/13/2016 5:01am Champlaign (Residential- Condo s) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2017 Cadillac XTS. Officer located 2017 Cadillac XTS with All Four Wheels & Tires missing while investigating two other LFA s that occurred in the same area. From: 12/13/2016 5:50am To: 12/13/2016 6:00am Garner St. (Charter Academy) Status S - Stolen Vehicle Year Body Style State MI License Year 2017 Description MICHIGAN LICENSE PLATE Victim came into the front desk to report that his License Plate was stolen off of his 2005 GMC Envoy sometime between 5:50am- 6:00am.
11 12/13/2016 6:52am From: 12/12/2016 9:28pm To: 12/13/2016 6:00am Woodvale Dr. N (Residential- Townhouses) W Twelve Mile All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2013 Ford Taurus. There was also merchandise taken from the interior of the vehicle including merchandise that was purchased and still in the shopping bags from various stores. All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2016 Ford Flex. Victim states sometime between 10:00pm and the following morning at 6:45am someone stole All Four Wheels & Tires from her 2013 Ford Taurus. There were also several items taken from the interior of the vehicle. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should never leave anything of value in the interior of their vehicles. All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2017 Ford Fusion. Victim states sometime between 8:00pm and the following morning at 5:00am someone stole All Four Wheels & Tires from her 2014 Chevy Cruze. The vehicle was parked at victims Condo Complex. Victim states sometime between 10:00pm and the following morning at 8:00am someone stole All Four Wheels & Tires from his rented 2017 Ford Fusion. The vehicle was parked at Hotel in the Block of American Dr. From: 12/14/2016 8:30pm To: 12/15/2016 6:45am Filmore Victims handgun was taken along with cash, earrings, and a backpack containing her laptop, books, and papers. Victim states sometime between 8:30pm and the following morning at 6:45am someone broke into her vehicle and took several items including a handgun. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should never leave their Handguns in the interior of their vehicles. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> From: 12/18/2016 1:00am To: 12/18/2016 8:00am Summerdale Dr. (Residential- Condos) 2- Vehicles were attacked: Lincoln MKC- All Four Wheels & Tires were taken Lincoln MKX- Window was broken out. Interior gone through. Victim states both of her vehicles were broken into sometime between 1:00am- 8:00am. Both vehicles had a window broken out. One of the vehicles had All Four Wheels & Tires taken. Victim thinks her other vehicle only had the window broken out to search for her wheel lock for her wheels. Both vehicles were parked at victims Condo Complex.
13 From: 12/17/ :00pm To: 12/18/ :00am Park Place Dr. Attempted to take All Four Wheels & Tires from 2017 Ford Escape. Victim states sometime between 10:00pm and the following morning at 10:00am someone attempted to take All Four Wheels & Tires from her 2017 Ford Escape. The lug nuts were removed and landscaping bricks were left behind. It appears the suspect(s) were scared off for some reason. Vehicle was parked at victims Apartment Complex. 12/17/2016 7:30pm Primrose Ln. (Residential- Condo s) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2017 Lincoln MKZ. Victim states sometime between 7:30pm and the following day at 1:30pm someone took All Four Wheels & Tires from her 2017 Lincoln MKZ. Vehicle was parked at victims Condo Complex. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked.
14 Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details 12/15/2016 9:42pm Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Fast Food) Stolen: 6- Mobile Phones from employees and cash from safe and register. Officers were dispatched to Fast Food Restaurant on a report of an Armed Robbery that just occurred. The suspect jumped over the counter and produced a small revolver. The suspect ordered the employees to the rear of the business and demanded money. The suspect possibly fled the scene in a Silver Pontiac Grand Prix and was last seen S/B on Telegraph Rd. Suspect Description: Black Male Dark Brown Skin 5 6 to 6 0 Large Nose Bushy Eyebrows Mustache Black Nike Hoodie Black Clothing Suspect Vehicle Description: Silver Pontiac Grand Prix Tips: Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police. If something doesn t appear right or someone looks like they are up to no good, call the police immediately Trust your intuition

(Office Center) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2016 Dodge Charger. 2) Block of Wellington Ct. (Apartments) Attempt to take Wheels & Tires. Two Dark Colored Mini Vans were seen by witness leaving the area. 17 6)25000 Block of Woodvale Dr. N (Townhouses) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2013 Ford Taurus. 7) Block of W Twelve Mile (Apartments) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2016 Ford Flex. 8) Block of W Twelve Mile (Apartments) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2014 Dodge Durango. 9) Block of Village House Dr. North. (Apartments) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2014 Chevy Cruze. 10) Block of American Dr. (Hotel) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2017 Ford Fusion. Felon in Possession of Firearm- 1- Arrest 12/13/2016 1:25pm Block of Glasgow Southfield Police Detectives assisted MDOC Agent with a Probation Check. Detectives went to a residence in the Block of Glasgow in the City of Southfield for a check of subject who is on probation for Unarmed Robbery which he pled to from an Armed Robbery. Detectives were let into the residence by the homeowner and during the check of the probationer s bedroom Detectives located a handgun. The probationer was taken into custody for Felon in Possession of Firearm. F/A- Domestic Assault- 1- Arrest 12/14/ :41pm Block of Shiawassee Circle (Condo s) Several Southfield Officers responded to Domestic situation at residence. After arriving on scene it was discovered that Boyfriend & Girlfriend got into a verbal dispute. At some point during the dispute the girlfriend got a knife from the kitchen and stabbed her boyfriend in the left bicep. The female was taken into custody for Domestic F/A.
18 11) Block of Summerdale Dr. (Condos) Two vehicles were attacked at this residence Lincoln MKX- Window was broken out to look for wheel lock Lincoln MKS- All Four Wheels & Tires were taken. 12) Block of Park Place Dr. (Apartments) Attempted to take All Four Wheels & Tires from 2017 Ford Escape. 13) Block of Primrose Ln. (Condo s) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2017 Lincoln MKZ. OWI II- 1- Arrest Rock Creek & Red Maple Ln. 4:06am Officers were dispatched to location on a female slumped in a vehicle that was stuck in a snow bank with the front bumper torn off. Officers arrived on scene and observed the female in the driver seat passed out with the vehicle running and in gear. The female was awakened. The vehicle was secured and the female was investigated for OWI. Upon completion of the investigation the female was arrested for OWI. Fleeing & Eluding/ Possession of Marijuana/ Probation Violation- 2- Arrests Evergreen Rd. 11:40pm Officers were on patrol when they attempted to stop a vehicle for traffic violations. The driver refused to stop and attempted to flee from officers. Officers pursued the vehicle. After a short pursuit the driver pulled over and stopped. Officer s investigation led to the arrest of the driver for Fleeing & Eluding and Possession of Marijuana. The passenger in the vehicle was also arrested for Felony Warrant for Probation Violation.
19 Special Attention: Larceny from Vehicles How to prevent this from happening to you! -Citizens should never leave anything of value inside their vehicle. (Especially Handguns, Purses, Wallets, Cash & Cell Phones!) - If you have a garage you should park your vehicle in the garage and lock the garage. - Wheel Locks are a deterrent but don t leave the wheel lock key in the interior of your vehicle, especially the center console or glove box. This is the first place they will look for the wheel lock. - If you don t have a garage, try to park your vehicle as close to your residence as possible. -If you here any loud noises near where your vehicle is parked, especially during the late night or early morning hours, attempt to look outside without alerting anyone and if someone is tampering with your vehicle immediately call 911, (Do Not Approach or Scare the Suspects Away) give Police Dispatchers as much information about the suspect(s) and suspect vehicles as you can. Stay on the phone with Dispatchers until the Police arrive. Death Investigation/ Obstruct/ Interfering with Investigation- 1- Arrest Block of Franklin Rd (Apartments) Officers were dispatched to the Block of Franklin Rd. to assist the Fire Department Life Support Unit with an unresponsive 22 year old male that was receiving CPR from his sister. Upon arrival Officers were directed to the bedroom where deceased was laying on his back on the floor. Paramedics advised that the subject was deceased. When Officers entered the room the deceased's brother was sitting near his side. Officers inquired as to whether the deceased had any known drug addiction or medical history. The deceased brother indicated that his brother had problems with pills. Officers conducted a cursory search of the room and discovered two pill bottles inside the top drawer of the night stand. The pills were labeled with contents. One of the bottles was empty and the other was approx. 75% empty. Officers briefly left the room to speak with their Supervisor to brief him on their investigation thus far. When Officers returned to the room the two pill bottles were missing. When confronting the deceased brother about taking the pill bottles he admitted taking them. When the Officers asked for the pill bottles back he pulled them from his pocket and dumped the remaining pills from the one bottle onto the floor and refused to give the bottles to Officers. The subject was then heard saying something about You re not going to pin this on my brother. The subject then went into a rage and started yelling obscenities, degrading Officers, telling Officers that they were worthless, using vulgar language and challenging them. After warning subject several times that he would be arrested for interfering with Officers investigation the subject continued to
20 -Lots of lighting around the area(s) that you park your vehicles is also very beneficial. Criminals don t like to work in well lighted areas. They prefer to work in darkness because it s difficult to see them. obstruct Officers investigation. The subject was taken into custody for Interfering with a Police Investigation.
