1 Gen 3 Tent Insulation kit Fitment Instructions

Insulation mounting plates Tools, Fasteners & Materials The tables below list the equipment, i.e. tools and fasteners required to install the tent insulation mounting plates and the insulation curtains. The tent insulation kit includes: 4 x Corner mounting plates 6 x Centre mounting plates 1 x Scuff plate 1x Front insulation curtain 2 x Side (LHS and RHS) insulation curtains 1 x Rear insulation curtain 28 Pop rivets (15 long X 4.8mm Diameter) 1.1. Tools Required: TOOLS Power drill 5mm Diameter drill bit Pop rivet gun 1.2. Fasteners required: ITEM 0.79 X 0.59 inch (4.8mm Diameter x 15mm) Pop rivet (Included in Kit) Centre mounting plates (included in kit) Corner mounting plates (included in kit) QUANTITY Miscellaneous tools: ITEM PURPOSE Marker Marking off for plate position Measuring tape Scuff Plate (included in Kit) Measuring set distances for mounting plates position Prevent damage to tent roof lining when drilling 2

3 2. Tent insulation plates fittment instruction. The tent insulation plates can be seen in figure 2.1 below. 4 corner mounting plates are to be fastened to each corner of the Gen 3 flip tent roof and 6 centre mounting plates are to fixed along the sides, front and rear parts of the roof. The mounting plates are to be mounted to the inside of the Gen 3 roof using pop rivets as seen in figure 2.2. Corner mounting plates Centre mounting plates Corner mounting plate position Figure 2.1: Mounting plates Figure 2.2: Corner mounting plates The centre mounting plates need to be installed between the corner mounting plates along the roof as seen in figure 2.3, 2.4 and 2.5 respectively. The front and rear ends of the roof will have 1 centre mounting plate between them as per figure 2.4 and 2.5 below. The sides will have 2 centre mounting plates as seen in the figure below Inch (530mm) 2 Centre Plates to be mounted equidistant between the rear end and front end of the roof panel. 5 a) Step 1 drilling holes and fastening the plates for the tent insulation curtains When drilling the holes for the mounting plates, ensure that a sharp drill bit is being used to prevent tearing the roof lining of the tent. Furthermore, the scuff plate included in the kit should be used as a guard and prevent the drill chuck from damaging the roof lining as per figure 2.7 below. 6 b) Step 2 fastening the tent insulation curtains Firstly, the back curtain must be installed, secondly the sides (LHS and RHS) and lastly the front insulation curtain. (Viewed from within the tent facing the rear end of the vehicle) First attach the back curtain to the top of the roof by strapping the Velcro of the curtain to the Velcro on the centre and corner mounting plates. Once the top is attached, the bottom of the curtains can be pulled down and strapped to the bottom of the tent base as per figure 2.9 and 2.10 below. It should be noted in figures 2.12 and 2.13 that the front curtain overlaps both LHS and RHS curtains as seen below. 7

The tent insulation should be fitted with care and avoid using sharp objects around the curtains to prevent tearing the insulation. If the curtains are dirty, a soft damp cloth can be used to wipe the curtains of dirt or dust 8
