NVD technology (patented) impressively links constructive simplicity and high functional performance; a simple and compact design, typical of the more traditional open-centre directional valves. It is associated with an extremely precise control, independent from the loading conditions and simultaneous movements. The flow sensing principle is efficient when electrically operated. It reaches its maximum potential when used in combination with radio remote control or electronic control devices. the metered oil flow and the electro-proportional actuation forces, so this direct feedback makes the flow control independent from loads and simultaneous movements. Directional control valve NVD is availiable in its standard version for fixed displacement pumps, on request it can be also configured for variable displacement pumps. With fixed displacement pumps, the open centre internal achitecture allows a very low system pressurization at the stand-by condition. This string is made by defining the inlet section first, then the working sections and at the end the outlet section and fixing features. See below an example of NVD model code and in the following pages the options for each block of strings. C The technological feature that makes the NVD operational concept similar to a load sensing directional control valve is the fact that, being electrically operated, it controls the flow independently from loading conditions and the simultaneous movements. Manual actuator device is provided as emergency features in case of malfunction of the electro-hydraulic proportional control device: in case of malfunction, the NVD directional control valve acts as a normal open-center one. 7 Directional Control Valves NVD Directional Control Valves NVD - Inlet Section Inlet Section, cont NVD inlet module has a power supply connection and a T connection so that the connection to the tank can be easily chosen either at the DCV inlet or outlet. The module is equipped with a general relief valve and it integrates the pressure reducing valve (8 bar) for power supply to the proportional electro-hydraulic controls. The pressure-reducing valve is equipped with a µm filter for the protection of proportio- nal electro-valves. t user s choice, the input module can host a pre-loading valve. This device is used to keep the standby pressure at a suitable level in order to have a quick reaction by the proportional electro-hydraulic controls. 8 Directional Control Valves NVD Directional Control Valves NVD - Work Section NVD work section consists of a spool and related flow control poppets, electro hydraulic proportional valves, lever kit and port relief valves. The electro proportional piloting valves are placed in the lower part of the section and the flow poppet control can be reached by disassembling them. In order to guarantee best functionality, the parts must be duly chosen according to the system features. The spool must be proportional to the pump capacity, while the flow poppet must be proportional to the desired flow capacity on and ports, which may be different along the same section (i.e. / ). Its architecture is based on the combination of SE DCV cartridges screwed into modular aluminum manifolds. Thanks to his modular design it is possible to assemble up to 8 sections of way, position on-off solenoid valves arranged in parallel and feed by on-off or electro-proportional inlet elements. The inlet elements can be configured with many options as: different type of pressure relief valves, dump valves, load independent proportional flow control, carryover by-pass line.
