Monitor M-VUE Overview The M-VUE in an intelligent valve sensor designed specifically for aseptic diafragm valve applications in the Life Science industry.

2 Monitor M-VUE Overview The M-VUE in an intelligent valve sensor designed specifically for aseptic diafragm valve applications in the Life Science industry. Compatible with Poin-to-Point (P2P), AS-interface and DeviceNet control systems, the M-VUE offers substantial benefits over standard switch controls. M-VUE Key Features Enhance Reability and Accuracy with the M-VUE solid state continous sensing technology that provides precise position readings for the entire valve range from 0.25 to 2.0 (DN8 to DN50) with shaft travel from 2 to 22mm. Simplify Installations by utilizing automated valve calibration without opening the IP67 rated polycarbonate sensor enclosure, reducing set up times to 3 minutes or less. Lower Maintenance Costs with the correct configuration of device parameters, preventing false alarms and unnecessary diafragm replacent. Optional 24Vdc integral solenoid valve 2 3 Magnetic Buttons allow perform all sensor configuration. Visual Position Indicator shows valve position even in the event of power loss. 1 Robusto all-polymer enclosure is rated NEMA 4X, IP Solenoid valve pneumatic input 1/8" NPT or BSP Ring of bright red and green LEDs display the valve position. That s just it. Open Valve Closed Valve M-VUE Configuration The M-VUE does not have physical buttons, all the configuration is realized through a magnetic key. This technology allows to optimize the configuration time of the sensor, in additional to ensure a high protection degree against liquids penetration IP67. All the configuration is assist by high-brightness LEDs, which greatly simplifies the setup process. Entering the Configuration Approach the magnetic key over H2. Remove the key when the P1 to P3 LEDs start to flash green. Note that when the key is removed, all LEDs will flash green for 2 seconds and after this time, only P1 will continue flashing, indicating the Self Calibration mode. IMPORTANT: If the magnetic key remains on H2 for 6 seconds, the M-VUE will perform the self calibration process. 2s Each time the magnetic key is approched over H1, the configuration option is changed. For example, H1 two times change de configuration to Solenoid Option (P3 flashes green). H2 confirms the option desired. 2x Exiting the Configuration To exit the configuration menu just approach the magnetic key over H1 for more than 3 seconds or wait 30 seconds without approch the magnetic key over H1 or H2. The M-VUE returns to Run Mode. > 3s Valve Closed or Valve Open 3

4 M-VUE Monitor Alarms and Diagnostics The M-VUE has three alarms: Alarm 1: Not expected position change Alarm 2: Stroke out of range Alarm 3: Stop at the middle of the way Alarm 1 This alarm indicates that an unexpected position change has occurred. P1 flashes red to indicate the Alarm 1. If for any reason M-VUE detect the correct situation again, the alarm will disappear automatically. Normal Not Expected Position Alarm (P1) Alarm 2 The Alarm 2 indicates that the actuator shaft is over/ under the values stored during the last calibration. (Considering ± 20% of tolerance). P2 flashes red to indicate the Alarm 2. Normal Alarm (P2) 20% ON POSITION -20% 20% OFF POSITION -20% Alarm Zone Alarm Zone Alarm 3 The Alarm 3 indicates that shaft pass through the OFF position plus the tolerance, but does not reach the minimum to confirm the open position. In this case the outpus 1 and 2 are in 0. P3 flashes red to indicate the Alarm 3. Normal Alarm (P3) ON POSITION -20% 20% OFF POSITION -20% Alarm Zone Disabling Alarms To disable the alarm LED approach two magnetics keys over H1 and H2 for 6 seconds. The alarm LED will stop to flash. Although the LEDs do not indicate, the alarm remains in the register. To view the alarms again repeat the same, approach the two magnetics keys over H1 and H2. 6 M-VUE Monitor Technical Details The M-VUE has the ability to set end point tolerance up to 20% of travel. This feature allows reliable feedback under variable process conditions and/or fluctuating air supply. End point limit switches can not accommodate these variable conditions without false position indications resulting in unnecessary alarms. The solid state sensing technology used in the M-VUE provides sensitivity of 0.3 mm (0.012 ). This performance ensures accurate performance on smallest valves. The M-VUE sensor ir available as a point to point or as a sensor integred into a network using AS-i or DeviceNet communication.
